Yesterday afternoon I talked with Becky, Panther maintenance about getting a new windshield. She set me up with Safelite and I called them and made an appointment. This morning at 08:30 an installer came to my house and replaced my windshield. Cost to me was the $100 deductible. That was it. Simple, easy and cheap! Thank you Panther.

Just to let everyone know, Diamond/Triumph Auto glass will do the same.

We also had one replaced through Panther using Safelite. It took about an hour with no waiting to get started. They set up an appointment for it and were right on time. Much easier to swallow $100 than full fare too.

Do they have a list of vendors they keep just to help Contractors out, or is this part of your insurance plan thru them?

I had a similar experience last year. I had some little something that smacked my windshield and left a star. Sure enough, that star soon developed into a full crack across my view. In Florida, there is NO deductible for windshield repair as it is required by law. Called my insurance company, they gave me a list of a couple of mobile glass companies in the area and patched me through in a three way call. The very next business day they were out and done within two hours.

So nice not to have to wait and wait......

No deductible in KY, either.

The Panther insurance gives you two windshield replacements per year. With a Sprinter you'll rarely find that they can replace it the same day, as most auto glass places will not carry a Sprinter shield in stock, but will have to get it overnighted in. The two that I've had replaced, in both cases the appointment was made for 8AM the next morning.

I don't think it is so much that they will help out the Contractors but because of the services they offer.

I know most insurance companies will deal with SafeLite and Diamond/
Triumph - either place will come to you - which makes it a lot easier on the Contractor. I believe they both have websites for listings of their locations (I know Diamond does, I use to work for them)
