I asked a similar question a short time ago. Unanimous answer was start driving a straight truck for a fleet owner and have money in the bank to get through the slow times. Go back through the threads and it is the same answer. Learn the business before you invest anything in it. To begin the learning process you start by going back through the threads and reading. Really a lot of great information from specing a drive train to building comfort into your CV to good food and safe areas to park. After you get a basic idea of the business write down where you want to run and how you want to run. Canada? How far east, norteast, and west do you want to go? Then contact carriers and see if they fit your business plan. When you think you have a carrier that will meet your needs then your find drivers that work for that carrier and ask questions. Best of luck on your journey.
