New Member with a problem

Hey everyone, I've been reading these forums several weeks now. Lots of good info and good people. I look forward to communicating frequently. I do have a problem, I don't know if anyone can help tho. I'm trying to team straight truck. I have my cdls, My son has his class b permit. but I can't find a straight truck of 26001 gross weight to take a drivers test with. I live in Tennessee. Truck rental places here only rent trucks up to 26000 lbs. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Try finding a Panther owner that will let you both go to class and then run Solo with him as a rider until you can get back home to take the test. As soon as he had his CDL then you can run team.

I did mention that to Moricia at Panther. She said she would try to find a solution. Maybe something like that would work.

You could try one of the CDL trainging companys around you. They usually will let you use their truck for a fee.

Ryder rents trucks over 26k.

So does Penske, Uhaul and a few other places.

I took mine with a new cab and chassis,no body, from the dealer I ordered my new truck from back then.You should of seen the look on the DOT guy's face when me and the salesman showed up in that ! But they determined it was legal to take a test in it.
