Looks like Nancy Pelousi Soon to be Former Speaker of the House isn't going to just "Go Away" She's going to run for House Minority leader according to Todays Toledo Blade there have been meetings between "Some" of the Dumocrats to get her that position because as "She" puts it: We don't want to risk losing what we have accomplished or something of that nature as I left the newspaper at the restuarant to actually quote the beast

If the dems retained the house, there was a serious question if she would have been reelected to the speakers' position but as house minority leader, her power is diminished, her status as private flyer is gone and if these republican idiots actually grasp the concept that they are in control, their fist order of business is to change the house rules to exclude the dems more.

She will be back...the young "blue dogs" for the most part got the boot in the mid terms...leaving the old dog dems that will support her and gove her the minority seat...so what, they lost soo many seats they have no power at all....

Its time for the repubs to act like the conservatives they said they would be during the campaigns..."grid lock" is the best thing that can come from this mess...if they don't want to do as they were elected to do, they're number will be up as soon as the next term comes up....

But Chef, the idea that the need to act like conservatives is part of the problem because many are clinging onto the idea that Reagan was a definition of what a conservative is and that the history of conservatives are those who want small government while allowing the freedoms need to move forward.

In fact, many seem to look at liberal and conservative as one in the same when it comes to the actions of both parties who have been ignoring the people.

It may seem that many conservatives who are independent and voted to change things are actually libertarians in disguise and only sit with the republicans because of the political tolerance that the republicans have afforded them and their ideals.

Well she can still cause a lot of damage. the election is not the end of this congress until next year and till then she gets to fly first class Military until they seat the new congress in.

Your right about the damage. I'm thinking that her and the remaining Dumocrats are going to "Pay us back" for them losing that many seats. Hopefully I would be wrong about this but Pelousi and Dingy Harry Reid appear to me that they would stoop that low.
