They really have this need to care of people?.....which isn't their job......

SS is fixable and workable....proof is north of the border.....the thought of 2 programs run by the government is just silly....

They PRETEND to care, promise the world, then steal everything. THEN they refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and renege on the promises they made. POZI schemes. SS is now toast. It is LONG beyond fixing now. The thought of the government running ANYTHING is silly!

With a larger part of the population drawing on it, social security becomes harder to raid for other purposes. The majority of people don't put anything close in to what is actually spent.
So they will follow with a voluntary "investment program".
That will follow with a madated plan for savings. Of course, because they know better.
Everyone of course has to do "their fair share".

Followed by another place they can raid money from. As in, they will eventually tax what money is in there.

Not if, but when. You can bet your nose that that LAST people who would be paid in a bankruptcy would be the everyday citizen. ANY plan the government comes up with is designed to separate the People from the money they earned to insure their dependency on the the government.
