That's how the monster with his shotgun was described by his neighbors,all of them,after he opened fire in a sunday school.But the fact,according to his letter,that the guy went nuts after learning that gays and lesbians were now welcome in a local community church,and it was in Tennesee,just seems so appropriate to me.
I mean,whats the big deal,he was just exercising his God (and NRA) given right to blast away and mabe hit a or or maybe even two, better yet!. Hell,2 less we need to bother with.
A sick time we are living,may God have mercy on us all.Germany looks like a civilized Wonderland compared to what we have come to call a "common occurance" in America.Those who fought and died in WW2 fought against such inhumanity and insanity,many of them must be rolling their graves . Paticulary those that freed the consentration camp survivors,with many gays amongest them..

So is this diatribe a denunciation of Tennessee and Tennesseans as a group or some other generalization? I guess this guy is along the lines of nice guys John Frazier, Edward Allaway, James Huberty, David Burke, Patrick Purdy, and Gian Ferri, all California mass murderers. We do have to add Jessie Dotson with the original guy. Let's see, that's 6 for California to 2 for Tennessee so I guess that means Tennessee is 3 times better than California and Californians are 3 times as bad as Tennesseans.

tallcal...your thinly disguised hatred of the South frightens me. No one condones murder, in Tennessee, or elsewhere. The shooter was a stone-cold killer. They exist in every state and county in this nation. All it takes is a warped mind and a perceived grievance. Remember the shooter in Pennsylvania who killed the Amish schoolgirls for example. Polly Klaas in California. Evil exists in my neighborhood and yours. What is this knee-jerk reaction to condemn the South?
Please don't invoke the memory of WW2 veterans to buttress your argument. My father and uncle were drafted into the US Army in January 1942. My Dad served 3 years fighting the Japanese in the Pacific, while his brother was captured as a POW at the Battle of the Bulge by the Germans. My Dad returned home unscathed, but my uncle was not so lucky. The "civilized" Germans ruthlessly beat and tortured him. When his POW camp was liberated at the end of the war, my uncle weighed 85 lbs, and had several broken bones which received no medical care. His health was ruined and he died within a couple years after returning home to Kentucky.
They didn't serve this country so killers could terrorize innocent people in church. Nor did they serve to defend perverse alternative lifestyles. That may be a bitter pill to swallow. They were called to serve and did so. Leave veterans out of this equation. It dishonors their service.

Do you just sit around and dream things up from your position of assumed condescending arrogance, or do you have helpers that collect stuff from all the around-the-bend left wing blogs that exist in the dregs of the internet. To assume that Tenn. or the Southeastern US has a monopoly on paranoid schizophrenics is just laughable, and the height of hypocrisy on your part considering the way you get your boxers in a wad every time someone dares to criticize the weirdos in CA. Considering I live in Knoxville just a few miles from this church, and watched this story develop from nearly the moment it started, I know exactly how it was portrayed and your description is not even close. From the moment this guy was identified, it was made clear that he was an unstable hate-filled loner with several broken marriages, unable to keep a job, and someone who needed mental help but didn't get it. You might also want to check an earlier thread in this forum that documented an illegal alien criminal harbored by San Francisco that murdered a father and son in a fit of road rage. This guy wasn't even mentally ill - he was just scum of the earth that was given sanctuary in spite of his criminal record.

We are NOT doomed, and the polls are starting to show it. Even after his World Tour and the fawning media coverage, Obama is anywhere from 4 points ahead to being actually behind in the Rasmussen poll of likely voters. Historically, since 1988 the Democrat candidate is usually 15 points ahead at this point in the race. The more people see this guy, the more they realize he is just a poser. When most people really start paying attention in Sept-Oct. and examining his voting record, even a 2nd rate candidate like McCain will become the more attractive choice. Obama will be a candidate that the Democrats will be glad to forget about after November. However, everybody needs to be active in this electoral process - we all know what happens when good men sit back and do nothing.

Maybe I misread it, but it seems to me that TallCal's comments were pointed at A: those who are in favor of gun ownership, and B: the irrational reaction some folks have to the issue of other folks' sex lives.
TC and I will never agree on the right to bear arms, but I understand his frustration over the shooting of innocent people. I just don't think that outlawing guns will solve the problem of irrational behavior.
BTW: I'm no big fan of Obama, but some of you are really pretty vicious in your comments about him - something I haven't noticed towards McCain.......I've gotten plenty of anti-Obama emails, (most of them childish & mean spirited), but not even ONE poking fun at McCain - hmmmm......
