Is this only happening to us??

This has happened to us twice now...

We accepted a load with a certain amount of miles, picked up and delivered without a problem. We sent in our paperwork then a day or so later our QC beeps with another copy of the receipt for that load. Upon further inspection everything was the same except the miles...5 less then the load offer? Weird. Before we wait on hold for an hour with Panther we were just wondering...is this only happening to us?

I mean no you are not the only one.

I had an offer that when I refused came back with increased mile, then the next time it was offer it was was reduced mile and the third time it was offered it had the same miles like the first one. This was sitting on the side of the access road to my drop not moving.

I was always led to believe that once a load offer is accepted it's a binding contract......they can't change anything........
We always kept our qual-comm and phone offers on the qual-comm screen until we went home, then compared the offers/acceptances with the settlements.......THEN we'd make a phone call. The company we were with always got things settled pretty quickly. :)

it happened to us as well. miles were significantly different. a couple of times they emailed us a week and a half after we delivered and the miles were different. you'll need to call them on it or you'll get ripped. watch all miles and monies closely.

Welcome to life at Panther!
Look, the miles they quote you is subject to change, right after they send you the load offer, you accept the load and send your acceptance back to them, they follow back with you have just agreed to this miles at this rate bla bla bla.......but down further they tell you that even those numbers are subject to change for this reason or that reason.......Gee what's so hard about that?

We have had the same experience only but a few times. We have also had some pay more than was quoted. Can't believe we are the only ones overpaid? Ummm......no one mentions those.

dave, we have also experienced this issue for the good and bad. people generally dont talk about the good stuff. but to be honest with you, the carrier shouldnt be trying to nickle and dimie the drivers. panther tends to do that quite a bit. but they all pretty much do in different ways, and thats a fact. until the majority of us do anything, things will continue as is.

C&M does that also. But to their credit, it sometimes comes out to the better. Sometimes they route me along smaller highways, and sometimes straight interstates, which I can cut those routes short by taking smaller highways. The miles all depends on who the customer is (broker), and which routing system they use to pay C&M.
