If the anti-American sentiment is so bad in South Korea they need to change the name of a movie we should just leave. I'm sure North Korea will be willing to protect and help them just as much if not more than we have, I think it is time to look at things like this and let these countries decide, if the people don't like us we will leave.

I feel that we are the best country in the world, we should bow down to no one or follow anybody else until they can prove their way of life is better. When people feel bad for being great they stop trying which just brings the strongest down to the weak. People around the world aspire to have the resources, wealth, and freedom we have here and many risk life and limb to get some small piece of it. Why shouldn't we act like we are the best while showing others the way IF they want the same.

Two reasons, one because we're often snooty and snotty about it and it gets on people's nerves, and two, we should lead by example rather than by intimidation and thinking that just because we did somebody a favor in a war a long time ago that it should give us free reign to do as we please in their country, including telling them how to run it.

Like it or not, that's how the world sees us. And it's of our own doing. Otherwise, there would be no widespread anti-American sentiment to deal with regarding a movie title or anything else.

We have to be the ONLY country in history to PURPOSELY put ourselves on a decline from being the best to TRYING to be on par with Europe's fiefdoms. "I'm an A student! But since we're all trying to be one with each other, I will drop down to a C. Is that ok? Do you like me now?"

Turtle... Europe and South Korea liked that John Wayne/Captain America machismo when we were protecting their arses from commies. Personally, I'd rather we take our wheat fields and go home. Let the rest of the world deal with the rest of the world... starvation and overpopulation included.

You want to see the "Anti American" bs go away...the next time there is a disaster somewhere in the world, tell them to deal with it themselves and don't do a thing to help..they will be begging for our money and help...well they will be begging for money the we "borrow" for china to give away....

Beyond that, don't think for a moment that we have military bases all over the world for the benefit of the host countries...

I would agree about doing them a favor a long time ago except we are still protecting them from North Korea, my feeling is if you don't like the way we offer help or feel we are arrogant then we should leave. It's not that we're tying to dumb ourselves down to the Europeans, we got сocky and lazy and while we were busy patting ourselves on the back other countries shot right past us and are doing it better and cheaper. The John Wayne/Captain America machismo of two generations ago was then, this is now, and it's not the same now as it was then. The majority of the people living on the planet today were not even alive when the last man walked on the Moon. You think they care about WWII, Korea or Vietnam? They don't. It's a different world to them. The only edge we have now is our military, and we tend to use that to demand respect at the end of a gun.

kinda funny when you think about it!just take one look at the guys suit and how can you not think america?just goes to show like another thread there is to much PC,ness in this country.To much we cant get others upset with us.I wish they would hurry up and find a cure for it!

and we got lazy because it has become much eaiser for people to stick there hand out and get it from the goverment then it is to work for it!you know the whole share the wealth thing.when people start thinking that they are entitled to things and money they have not earned they get lazy.and it does not help when the MAN tells them they have a right to a part of their neighbors wealth.you know because its the right thing to do.

You honestly believe other countries have shot past a "stagnant" United States? They couldn't shoot past us if they had rockets in their skivvies, if we could be what we were in the 60s again. So you're saying our industry has stagnated? I say it's declined. You say our school system has stagnated? I say it's declined. You say our morality has stagnated? I say it's declined; and in another generation, disappeared altogether.

We are DECLINING! We are nothing but a "service-based" country now. We have 17% of our jobs in industry, where we had twice as many in the 70s. Look at our cities (corporations) and states (also corporations) trying to stay in "business". They are running around like bankers with their heads cut off, trying to tax anything and everything that moves, to cover their foolish spending habits from a decade ago. OUR LEADERSHIP IS DECLINING!

I'm sorry, Turtle; but when you go from a republic (at least the facade of one) to a neo-European socialist entity for the UN/NWO movement, YOU, AS A NATION, ARE DECLINING!

When you go from the richest nation on the planet to being bankrupt (and yes, we are bankrupt), YOU ARE DECLINING!

ITS A FRIKN' MOVIE FOR GOD SAKE.

The marketers of the movie decided to drop the words "captain America" and use the rest of the title

IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

Whether or not people like us, does not matter, they will pay the money to see the movie and that money comes back here.

I don't know about you but if SK can afford to see our movies, then they can pay us for every person there that defends their country.
