Lest we forget.... TJ wrote the Declaration..... and Eleanor had a great quote....
BUT..... in 1962,,,, at least in the USA, "all people on earth" ???? Etiquette maybe...but when she wrote that, a certain population of AMERICANS could not vote.

Yes.... that and other shortcomings are why we are constantly "striving toward the principles and ideals on which this country was founded".
We are a work in progress, but what a great place to live while we are striving to reach those ideals.
When does does the "striving to achieve..... end..... and the achieving begin?

My husband served many years in the USMC, and was medically retired....i.e. too many "purple" medals.... and this is what a prominent US statesman said....
