If your ever in Laredo, Tx and want great mexican food go to Taco Palenque- park in the Home depot(next to walmart) parking lot... you can walk to it (on the corner) we go everytime!
In Schenectady NY a must try is Pizza King- ask a local they will tell you how to get to it! Best pizza we have ever had! Cheap too.
We had great BBQ at a chain resteraunt called Famous Daves in Philly! I think there are some in quite a few back east states.
Enjoy!

We were on a family trip to Mexico last summer and stopped at this little place before the border...WOW! It was awesome!! Don't forget to go to their "sister" place next door called "Tori".

Linda and I pulled into the Pilot at Breaux Bridge Friday afternoon. We were looking for a place to
settle in for the weekend as we had a load for Monday afternoon in New Orleans.
This seemed like a good spot.
Next door was a Super WalMart to replenish our supplies.
A waffle house across the street and a couple fast food spots.
All in a nice middle class neighborhood. Safe to walk at night.

On one such walk Friday we saw across the street from the Mart what looked to
be a bar.
Thirst was fast setting in and we decided in the name of survival to check it out.

It wasnt a bar but a restaurant that did serve.
A place called "Crazy about Crawfish"
Nothing fancy inside. But what we thought was excellant Cajun cookin. Crawfish, catfish, shrimp, gumbo jambalya.
We chose to enjoy the outdoor seating as it was a pleasant night.

Well after going back to the truck,we werent really sure we liked the palce.
So the only logical thing to do was go back Saturday for diner to settle on
whether we liked it or not.

Still not sure, but anytime we arein LA around Breaux Bridge, we stay at the Pilot,
and resample this Cajun kitchen.

Seriously, a very good spot to eat, have a brew and relax.

If your into Cajun food at its best, even a lunch buffet. The best gumbo ever.On I 10 Iowa La. south of the interatate,it's called Big Daddy's Cajun Resturant. You might have to improvise for truck parking, but I've never had trouble stopping there with a tractor trailer. There are a couple other places I frequent when I'm running I 10,I feel this is the best value for the money

If you want authenic Mexican,Don Chile Mexican Resturant,635 McCarty st Houston Tx.You might be able to park a straight truck on lyons, which is the road next to building, but tractor trailers will have to park in the public scale house just south of Lyons.Great food.Just like you get in mexico, and large portions at a reasonable price
