I meant from the BS on the qcom. Otherwise you are sadly mistaken. Ain't any? Hehe.
Don't know on their vans or TT's, but a $1.12 a mile average on a straight would be a total deal breaker for me. Too much freight including plain LTL that pays better.
Not doable for an average with fuel at current prices.
.36 FSC for a straight is too low. Still below the national index based on current prices. Should be about .41. Add that to only a 1.12 base rate and it isn't workable if there is any DH at either end of the run.
I guess it would depend on what those "perks" are. They would have to be pretty significant.
Based on 1.12 rate and a .36 FSC, at least half of your revenue is going in the fuel tank.
Not at almost 5.00 a gallon. Making alittle money, but not much.
One would have to have some major miles and very little DH for that to work.
well to set it straight im a solo express-1 owner operator and im treading water and yes there is alot of dh and i am out of pocket on 95% of the runs to finish and what perks are there?if there are some im not getting any and miles not major at all and yes you have to be extremely log savvy
no bumping of the rates for me i can count on 1 hand how many 1.20 rates i have had in the last 4 months everything is 1.12 and the weekly miles are very low and with the dh i have to travel consistenly close to 100 miles or more even with the fsc i would do better getting off the road and driving locally but i enjoy the freedom of being my own boss so to speak that i continue to do it but with the miles getting lower and lower every week its becoming harder talked to another o/o solo and he was in service all week last week and got under 1000 miles
