Wow, a legend will be missed he and Paul Carey will live on in every kid that listened to them as a great team in Detroit....

At 92, it was amazing he lasted as long as he did. Seeing him months ago, he looked very sick and I was surprised at how much he slowed down. He took advantage of his limited time and never looked down at his cancer but I think the news outlets here went a bit overboard over it - one station preempted a show after the news while another took 20 minutes of air time to repeat he was dead.

A class act. I do hope we see a "special" about his life in the very near future. It would be SO VERY refreshing to celebrate the life of a man who lived as a man should instead of the garbage we see in the news and entertainment shows every day. He made people happy!! What a wonderful thing to say about a man's life.

He was one of a kind. Many have strived to be like him but none have come close. He was one of the last of an era gone by. The younger generation would never think to LISTEN to a ballgame. Baseball is best enjoyed by listening to it. The other pro sports are to fast and furious to really listen to and NEEDS to be seen, however, baseball you can invision in your mind what is happening just by the announcer.

Whenever possible I LISTEN to every game I can. Thanks XM :D
