If I did as Turtle suggested and used my own words, I can promise you, I would offend the majority of those here in one form or another, and for the most that would be intentional on my part after I found out your position, if it differed from mine. As was said in another post my another poster, on a totally off topic, "i pick at scabs"..

As I do my best to avoid people who are intentionally offensive, I will stop responding to anything you post.
EO has never been a site that welcomed 'shzt stirring' and I'm sorry to see it being accepted now - it's totally lacking in the class this site has created over the years.

The theme is always the same old crap....IF chef you are in it for the stirring...how about a different stick? What would it matter? You are only posting for the reactions you say not your beliefs.....

My sense of adventure gets fulfilled from driving a truck solo, thank you. The day EO needs deliberately offensive posts to be interesting is the day I find another sandbox to play in.
We have been much better than that, IMO, even when we disagree.
If I enjoyed offensive content, I'd watch Jerry Springer. (Is he still on?)

That same quote rang a bell here, too, Cheri. In a very real sense, shzt stirring is exactly what I do here, too, except that I try to do it without attacking anyone personally, or offending anyone (tho I know that's impossible to do). But I find it hard to believe that one could actually offend the majority here using factually based or logically reasoned arguments with which to do the offending. Instead, I'd imagine more of an emotional rant that ignores or dismisses fact, logic and reason, you know, where people prefer to believe a lie than to admit the truth about something, or where they selectively choose the fact that support their views, while dismissing any facts that do not.

In any event...

A: Check the archives and read back at least 2 years before making an informed decision.

Did someone actually write that? That's just a killer oxymoron.
