GEO just got back from the Dealership on his Dodge Sprinter Van and at 76,000+ miles his DPF filter is less than 10% filled!!

The dealership couldn't understand this as normally it would be very close to replacing it.

They even contacted Mercedes about this. The rep wants to tear down the engine and find out why. Geo said it was because of something he puts in the fuel. Mercedes wants to know what it is because this is a great improvement from regular service intervals.

Maybe they want to find out what it is so they can tell their customers to stay clear of it.

They will lose $2100.00 + labor to replace it and extended life means money lost in their bottom line. This means that GEO can go 700,000 miles on one filter!!!

He said that with this material in the fuel, he was able to average 22.5 mpg over the entire year of 2008. Used 2775 gallons on 61,500 miles. This is combination of city and highway use. GEO pulls an average of 1500 lbs per load daily.

Thought all Sprinter Van people should know.

A DPF should last well beyond 100,000 miles as long as the correct engine oil is used as well as Ultra Low Sulfur diesel. If I had a dealer tell me my DPF was "full" at less than 150,000 miles I'd be screaming for a warranty adjustment.

For you big truck folks, your DPF should last at least 300,000 miles, again with the correct oil, fuels and not a silly amount of idling.

Geo are you an official distributor for this additive? Can we buy in volume directly from you and eliminate the middleman?
