DOT Vehicle Inspections

I've never been asked for one, but since I live in Pennsylvania my carrier has gotten a well-inspected van anyway

That said, I do need a right side headlight. The ones I got new last November after the deer strike have both died; just as well, as the damned things were no brighter than votive candles

FedEx CC used to be every 6 months, Landstar every 4 months. FedEx made you pay for it, Landstar paid for it if you passed.

3 times a year. 2 for load one. One in order to get my tags renewed.

Nice thing is, if I'm not mistaken, the DOT will accept a state inspection in lieu of theirs, as long as the state's standards are as strict as their own. Works well for us Pennsy folks, 'cos our inspections are among the most thorough in the country

Panther requires an annual DOT inspection for vans and a quarterly maintenance record that includes a list of all repairs, parts, oil and filter changes and tire rotation and replacement.
