Does Anyone Use a CB Radio Anymore?

Too bad you have to leave it on and listen to it to get that rare bit of useful info.

As for driving into a pileup at full speed...lots of thousand dollar CB jockeys end up wadded up in there with the rest. The rear end of a Stoughton coming through the windshield of a Pete sounds good with an echo mike come on!

My CB is always on when I'm driving. I run with the squelch up and the volume down a bit. I'm able to listen to audio books or music and if I hear some chatter, I turn up the volume and squelch down. The past 10 years or so there seems to be fewer CB users and less garbage. I have found some of the worst offenders for verbal vomit are base stations that like to antagonize truckers on Ch.19 and spew their garbage. Of course many of the truckers in earshot take the bait. And always plenty of BS when near a truck stop.
