Seems pretty obvious that there's something going on there, be it dementia, old timer's, whatever. But I can give him a pass on not knowing who was where, behind him. If you watch the speech from the beginning, the two women started out on opposite sides, then switched.

The Democratic primary season is over. They'll be canceling the next debate soon and Biden will be giving teleprompter speeches the rest of the way. Limit interactions with "the people" so as to prevent senior moments. May even cancel debates with Trump.

The Dem bigwigs want to shut down the rest of the Democratic primary season and declare Biden the winner. There are other primaries to go and still many votes to be cast, but that may be in jeopardy now.
I'm old enough to remember when Dems used to shout "Count all the votes!"
