ok the way i see it day light saving ends at 0.200 hrs sunday morning my cell phone changes back to the 0.1 00 am my watch tic toc tic toc changes back to 0.1.00 dam it the town hall clock even changes back last year in warren pa was driving pass the clock and the big hand was going backwards so man if i am out running on saturday nite would be nice lol 2.00 am becomes 1.00am again so keep those big wheeels a rolling
lets say you stop at 6.00 am but it is not 6.00 am it is 5.00 am so your book is now WRONG this wanker in a truckstop the other nite could not see what i was getting at asked me how many times i been kicked in the head by a roo now it is time to find out WHO IS THE WANKER HERE ME OR HIM

11 hrs is 11 hrs turning back the clock doesn't change the AMOUNT of time that you drove

Do you want to stop driving an hour sooner in March when the clock magically jumps forward one hour? You've only driven 10 hours but the clock now magically says it's been 11 hours. Do you want to be allowed to drive your legal 11th hour or let the clock stop you immediately? Obviously you want to drive the legal hour and make the extra miles/money so there's your answer, the numbers on the clock mean nothing and the actual hours you drive mean everything.

I have the "book" out checking another issue and I can find nothing on time change. I've heard hear-say that the time is what time it is, suggesting that you lose one in the spring and get an extra one in the fall. Somehow, in all my years out here, I've managed to never be driving when it changes. Imagine that...

The issue may be confusing but nevertheless it is not based on real time but time that is spent as an activity.

11 hours of drive time, 4 hours of on duty and 10 hours in the sleeper remains the same regardless what the clock says (I think those numbers are right).

Whenever I drive west I gain valuable time. At first it is only seconds, then minutes and eventually hours. I can gain 3 precious hours driving from Ohio to California.

Once I drove across the International Date Line and gained a whole day. I was near midnight on a Sunday when I crossed. On the other side of the International Date Line it was Sunday all over again. I was getting paid by the hour. Sundays and holidays were double time. I got paid double, double time.

I think the key is remembering that when the wheels turn it's not the time clock but the stopwatch that rules. It doesn't matter what time the clocks show, only how many of the allowable hours the stopwatch says have been used up. That doesn't change even when time zones and/or DST changes.
