Just what you'd expect. If he had any clue of sentence structure and the Constitution he'd know he's hot air. There are plenty of Obama voters who will fawn all over him though.

Old George never got the memo; being seen but not heard is actually a virtuous thing, and sticking with what you know is honorable.

He doesn't know what a well regulated militia is, either.

Or his butt from a sink hole either. There will be NO attempt by the press, or Obama, to tell the truth on this subject. Their will be a barrage of "stories" of how bad guns and gun owners are, without ANY on the positive side of the subject.

Obama has tanked the economy and he needs a scapegoat. Something to divert attention from his treason. Guns and gun owners fit the bill.

I always wonder how anti-gun idiots can maintain their position, given that the facts destroy their position, but them I'm reminded of something Ayn Rand said, which is, "You can't persuade someone with reason if reason isn't how they arrived at their position in the first place." I mangled that quote a bit, but that's the gist. Anti-gunners, ftmp, including those on this forum, aren't thinking; they're feeling. There are those anti-gunners in the government who aren't thinking, but scheming. But regular people against guns are just emoting. Reason and facts are useless against them.
Kind of like snakes. Some people have a fear of snakes so visceral, that you can't reason with them. It may be just a harmless garter snake and may be as beneficial as the day is long, but to someone with a serious, visceral, irrational fear, it's a killer. I guess it's the same with guns.

I emailed my congressman on this subject and this was his, or likely a staffers answer to me.

Dear Mr. Marra,

Thank you for contacting me about the federal regulation of firearms and ammunition. I appreciate knowing your thoughts on this issue.

I strongly believe in the protected rights allotted under the Second Amendment of our Constitution, and I support the right for individuals to possess firearms and use them for lawful purposes. I consider myself one of the many Americans that use firearms for recreational hunting, collection, and protection – this is a liberty that is to be treasured and protected.

As Congress considers legislation relating to gun control, you can be certain that I will keep your thoughts in mind, and in doing so, defend the right for law abiding citizens to bear arms.

Again, thank you for contacting me. Please make sure to sign up for my e-newsletter at: http://walberg.house.gov/ , so I can keep you updated on my activities in Congress.

Sincerely,

Tim Walberg
Member of Congress
