I am thinking about a chevy express to help me prop up my sprinter. IWAS WONDERING IFanybody could tell me which one is best 2500 3500 or v6 v8. I know it should be the 155 wheelbase. any suggestions on which express for expediting would be greatly appreciated

don't get the V6 too weak for expediting plus mileage isn't that much better then the V8
2500? 3500? I guess it depends on your company, what they require. How much weight they want you to haul

The 3500 extended has a GVWR of 9600 pounds. A V-8 would give you more power for towing that Sprinter around.

I owned a 2005 2500 Chevy Express with the Duramax diesal and loved it. I bought it new and we put 100,000 miles on it in first year expediting and never had any trouble and still made 21 to 23mpg. But the diesal cost me an extra 6600.00 and I bought it as a replacement for my unreliable Sprinter. And still alot cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain than the Sprinter.

159" WB I think only comes with the V8, I don't know if it is only the 6.0 but I think it is.....

I have a 03 savanna 2500 hd(3/4ton with 1ton springs) 5.3 gas engine, has always done the job set before it with no problems, and can squeeze 21 mpg with 2000 pounds on board. The only weak link is the Transmission, I've had mine rebuilt once at 180,000 and replaced with a reman. unit at 260,000 miles, I now have just under 400,000 on it and no signs of slowing down,

Moot..remind me to slap that bald head! Tow a sprinter indeed!;)

Why do you think they make them with a built in tow hook? That should be the first clue...*LOL*

My 2005 gmc 3500 9600 gvw as a 4.8-liter, 285-hp V8 with 295 lb-ft of torque that is the standard engine....
