Boxer shows her elitism

In the military circles, it is a required form of respect to call a woman, "ma'am." The Brigadier General was showing respect to Senator Boxer. I saw the video of their exchange on Fox News today. Barbara Boxer's contempt for our military shines a spotlight on the uneasy alliance between the elites and those in the military who actually earn their pay through daily sacrifice.

Were she not ignorant she would know that sir and ma'am are the respectful forms of address by military people to civilians and that unless addressing comrades in arms by rank is also the respectful form of address to them as well. Just as intelligence and class show, ignorance and the lack of class show equally if not moreso.

She can be addressed as both as far as I can see, the term Sir and Senator are listed in both my protocol manuals for any committee hearing, private meeting and full senate hearings.

The General addressed her in the manner that he was trained to show respect of the highest form, he actually was showing her more respect then she deserves........i am not sure if he was summons to appear or was asked without a summons, but id would have had a very hard time staying after her rebuke of the Office and hero.......her comtempt was quite clear...she worked hard for that title, she has no idea the work the General put in to obtain his rank and command......but then she really doesn't care....

She's showing her self-importance. Basically, she can't stand the military, and has to show the general she's the alpha male.

I came up with a product idea. I embroider 'Senator' across the butt (or groin area) of a pair of Boxers, and sell them in CA, and to the military.

Think they'll sell? :D

whether or not the General is following his protocols, he is still a general and still has to answer to her regardless. He has the training that goes above and beyond what the soldiers have, he went through the diplomatic training and other stuff, so he knows the decorum requirements of his position and it seems everyone is making a big deal out of it.

But you know the funny thing is, neither you or I have to call her senator, we can call her boxer, Mrs. Boxer or Barb because we as citizens don't have to follow any protocols - there is no law saying we do.

That is because the are OUR EMPLOYEES!! They work for us. The General and the Senator.

As to that Boxer person, is not a Boxer a dog? Is she not a female of that species? "Nuf Said"
