Blocking incoming phone calls

Why can't you block specific phone numbers from being able to call your cell? With the computerization of everything it should be as simple as clicking a checkbox to permanently ban someone from being able to phone you. Do not call lists are only so effective. They work on the honest people and the criminals ignore them like they ignore any other law they don't like.

If you're with AT&T you can do that, but it'll cost you something like $5 per month. It's under Parental Controls on the AT&T Web site.

With Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, there's no easy way to do it, but there are Blacklist apps that accomplish the same thing. I have a few numbers set to silently go directly to voicemail, the phone never rings.

I haven't used them, but I know Call Filter works well, and if that doesn't do the trick then DroidBlock usually will.

I did a search on vzw but it didn't show up. I hadn't logged in though. I logged in and it was on the main page. That's exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Don't waste your money paying to block my calls. I will quit calling you, I promise.

Unless you have a Houston metro phone number with numerous online complaints it isn't your number I blocked... this time. :p

If you have a smartphone, you can get mr.number from the google store. It allows you to block any # you want and it's free.

I just usually want to block "Rachael" from Card Holder Services. I ask for her picture when she calls daily and she hasn't sent one.

I don't have a Houston metro phone number. Does this mean I can keep calling you?

Sure, you can call me the exact same number of the times in the future that you've already called me in the past.

I have called you in the past, at least once. You were at Stockmans and I had a load picking up near there. I got delayed and didn't have time to stop. I still have both of your cell phone numbers.

Since I called you once in the past I can call you one time in the future. If I make that one future call it will become a past call allowing me one more future call which in turn will become a past call etc.

Maybe if I quit writing your phone number on Houston area men's room walls your unwanted calls will lessen, except of course for the new batch of calls you get from me.

I usually let the unwanted caller keep talking until they pause or are expecting an answer, then say, very quietly, "what are you wearing?"
