If McCain wins it's racism but racism has nothing to do with black voters voting for Obama for no reason other than his race. Go listen to the Howard Stern street interviews in Harlem. They'd be funny if they weren't so scarily pathetic and so clearly illustrative of the racism infecting the majority of a group of people. The only redeeming factor is the satisfaction that if Obama wins a large number of people will be getting what they deserve while the rest of us are suffering.

Speakinjng of Leo,I'm so glad to hear that he's not suffereing under the mangled second term of this mess of an adminisitration.Suffereing is all in the eye of the beholder. I think we have had a life time of suffereing with 10,000 foreclosures a day.
By the way Leo,I'm very sorry for your loss and suffering as a result of the hurricane.I hope your expereince with assistance from the government ( if you require any)has been satifactory.It's good to see Bush one and Clinton working together for relief aid . I have contributed.

I was in Austin the week after the hurricane and the City was full of refgee's,both rich and poor,and middle class.Texans know how to care for each other,regardless of race or social standing. I was very moved and impressed by the care each person received.

I'll try to tone it down,but that rally with that woman seemed to be McCains reward for he and Palins unwarrented attacks about an old hippie who represents nothing to most Americans. I guess Rove had it wrong and they have toned the rhetoric down. McCain should fire his whole staff and listen to the noise between his ears, and follow his own instincts.Thats what got him to the dance,not Rove and CO.

We lost about 40% of the roof, 1/3 of the sheetrock and 2/3 of the flooring along with other assorted damages. Within 48 hours friends had been out and had the roof tarped. We didn't need governmental assistance although they have been thick as ****roaches around here. Texans are fairly good about taking care of themselves and their neighbors. Unlike some we aren't looking for any/every opportunity to put our hands out. There are exceptions of course but one can basically look at the election map and from the color tell which way a group will respond.

I'm sorry if I'm not getting adequately upset over people who made poor choices and are now suffering the consequences. Again, there are exceptions, but the vast majority of the foreclosures are people who falsified income, bought with no down payment, took out second and third mortgages to buy crap they never should have bought and otherwise were foolish. Blaming the administration for the stupidity of individuals makes no sense.

I'm thinking 8 is going to pass,marriage between a man and a woman will be the sole legal desciption. Our Mayor shot himself in the foot and it's being used against him. I'm sure he is hopping mad at himself for his outragious display with all the cameras rolling. Oh well.

California needs a bail out to the tune of 4 billion to keep doing business after January. We have more improtant fish to fry then Prop 8,unfortunatly, as I'm opposed to it and will vote against it.The reverse prop passed once already,but may not pass this time.However,California is only one of many states that have the same agenda.It will never get to the Supreme Court level in my opinion,or if it does I don't see a Constitutional Amendment. I really see it as a States rights issue,which is where it belongs. North /South/East /West,nothing really changes,just the color from time to time.

I would hope you will support the next President,as I will,after these miserable last 8 years.I can support McCain,but have recently read some factual articles about him that give me cause. He has not always shown superior moral judgement,and some who were POW's indicate he quickly used his Fathers stature as an Admiral to get privilages from his captors. he never considered escape as many otehrs did as he was afraid of being tortured and beaten.he wasa below average pilot and partied more then he studied as he had a free ticket that his Father brokered with the Military College.Remind you of anyone?

Oh yeah, ACORN is one to trust and rely on. Just yesterday the local news ran a story about ACORN and how in Houston they are giving people $1 (yes, one dollar) and cigarettes to register to vote. So far they have over 30,000 new voters. The local news station checked and said about 20k of them are legitimate. There is far more fraud with ACORN, Raines, Wright etc. than in the last two elections combined.

Getting back to the original topic: can anyone imagine the outrage from the mainstream media if these were two Republicans? These two homosexual lovers were in direct conflict of interest; Frank was getting campaign monetary benefits from Fannie Mae (the employer of his snuggle-bunny) while simultaneously fending off those in Congress that would have imposed regulations that might have helped avoid this crisis we now see. These two sweethearts should be sharing a cell in prison.
