Avatars and PM's

We will be adding avatars in the next few weeks. If you would like to add your own - without waiting you can now do so - thanks to greg.

You can easily add one in the USER CP, edit Avatar. Just Google "avatars", I pulled this site up... Forum Avatars at Avatarist

Find one, download it (hold mouse over image, right click, save as, save on your desktop, login into USER CP, edit Avatar upload avatar). Keep it to 80x80.

Also, we have increased the PM count to 100 - thanks to all those PM'ers.

We also added a few more features on your PROFILE page.

Unfortunately, we can't use moving avatars. Hope that changes soon.

Just upload 'em. Well, click on the Insert Picture icon (when using the WYSIWYG editor) and give it the URL of a pic. If there's something I want to plop into a post, I just upload it to Photobucket (or some other relatively stable pic hosting site) and use the URL for it.

80x80 pics

So theoretically speaking, we can use any image as long as it is saved in computer and is no bigger than 80x80 and no bigger than 19.5k?

Read the fine print images have to be EITHER 80 x 80 or a max of 19.5 kb, for example the avatar I am using is 300x220 but the file is 19.1kb, so if you have images you want to use look at the file size before you discard it, never know what the compression of the pic is...good luck and happy hunting...Patrick
