I want to know why he had the audacity to question me on what firearms I own? That is VERY scary to me. Only one other person has EVER asked me a question like that. That was an official of the Canadian government who first asked me if I had guns on my truck ( legal question) what and how many guns I owned at home ( not a legal question). What gave me the audacity to ask is your repeated cries that the gov't is coming to get your arms. The question "what arms are you speaking of?" is a natural progression. If you don't want to say, that is fine.

As far the right to bear arms, they were talking about the arms of the day, black powder single shot. Even if they intended to include the arms of today, the right to bear the weapons of the day are long gone. Maybe you believe that every American should have the right to a bazooka, a flame thrower, a box of hand grenades, a tank and a nuclear bomb!

I used to have a now banned arm, a spud gun. Really cool but since I found out they were illegal, I got rid of it. I still have my .308 remington rifle, .44 mag ruger carbine, a 12 gauge, a .22 rifle and a WW2 p-38 German sidearm shoots 9mm, cool piece.

IF the Second Amendment is no longer relevent then what about the 1st? What about the 5th? I see that is going away fast. No longer are we innocent until PROVEN guilty. Random drug tests and CRININAL back round checks to buy a gun PROVE that. They ASSUME that anyone who buys a gun is a criminal and requires them to PROVE thier innocence.

Maybe I should check you for drugs or booze every time you start your engine. Since drunk and drugged drivers kill far more than law abiding gun owners do I think that checking you would just be prudent. Not to worry, more and more of that will be coming, sooner or later you too will be affected. Then you will sit back looking for someone to protect your rights for you AGAIN, only they will no longer be there. You supported thier deaths.

Well Doug they are legal, I can go out and buy a 50 cal machine gun or an uzi legally. The problem is it is legal as long as I pay the tax on the transfer of the weapon and follow the regulations that I agree to to complete the transfer. They can't tell someone (unless they are a felon or have mental problems) that they can't buy one, the supreme court ruled that the regulation of automatic weapons is not the same as banning them.

The 2nd amemdment eludes you, or so it seems. It wasn't about the weapon but keeping government in check - a final balance of power. The bill of rights was not originally in the consitution because there was an assumption that the rights were all understood by all and will be for as long as the country stays together under the document. Alas intelegent people spoke and it was put in.

The other thing is I don't follow the right wing speak, I am tired of a lot of it like you may be but that doesn't mean that I am wrong with my thoughts about someone who clearly has used propaganda and lies to get where he is today. I think that the real problem is that many are still euphoric over his win, they voted because he is black and nothing else and these people neither have the intelligence or the morals to look beyond the "I will give you" speeches to the person behind the words.

No, Leo, I don't think that's correct. The violence the law aims to prevent is not against anyone 'caught in the act', but the violence of the ignorant who KNOW IN THEIR HEARTS that the 'deviant' should be punished for simply existing. Have you never read of accounts of groups of troublemakers who go out looking for gays to literally bash? It's quite the 'thing to do' among far too many ignorant idiots these days. Cheri, I promise you this bill as it is written says if I see a pedophile attacking a child and do the right thing the government can prosecute me for a hate crime if they so choose. I am well aware of the group attacks on people and willing to concede that may be the object of this legislation however that is not the reality of it. The reality is it makes any action against a pervert a hate crime even if the pervert is harming a child at the time. It is flawed and wrong legislation for that reason.

I also reiterate that a crime against another individual is a crime regardless of who the perpetrator is or who the victim is. No individual is any better or any worse than any other and no individual has any greater or lesser right to protection from crime than any other. It is flawed and wrong legislation for that reason.

Your strident insistence on your rights gets really, really tiresome - particularly when you don't want to accord the same rights [like free speech] to everyone else.

First, if I have time tomorrow I will look up some of the many lists of firearms that the "left" wants outlawed. Most include many if not all semi-auto's, rifles or shotguns. Second, I trust no one that does not trust me. Obama does not. Neither do you if you agree with criminal backround checks when I go to buy a gun. Either I am innocent until proven guilty or not. There is no middle ground on that.

As to my grip, I have custom grips on my carry piece, a Ruger SP101, revolver, .357. I have very good grip skills. I don't really like the Kinks all that much either and don't see how a bunch of has been rockers can help me shoot straight or improve my grip.
