Re: Any one switch from a sprinter van to a gm or ford 3500 unecell single rear wheel
I really think a Sprinter is an awesome van.I mean, look at it.The height, length, size, fuel mileage, comfort, ride, and quietness, along with a awesome hvac system.Nice looks, also. But, where the fuel mileage is a huge plus, the price and maintenance is not.I have heard so many stories about them, and know a few that have them.I think it is a even trade, the less gas mileage of a american van vs the high cost and downtime of a Sprinter, in some cases.Wondering what the Ford version will be like, along with the price. The Cargo Maxx seems like a real good alternative to a Sprinter as well.I love my 12' spartan body Ford, even though it will not win any prizes for style. Parts are available anywhere, dirt cheap. And anyone can work on these. But, I can still do 3 skids, and the nice part is that it is square on the insides.49"between wheel wells, and 14" on each side of that.Makes real easy to utilize "youre space" (The 14" on each side, ) and still maintain the 49x 63x12" that I give my carrier for freight.I guess in the end it is all about what works for the owner and the company they are leased to.
