Is that good hdxpdex? LOL. Greg, I will have to find that book you are talking about and read it. It will be interesting to compare it to all the classified documents I read on the subject and what I learned talking with some of the participants. I did read a book by the name of the "Puzzle Palace". It was about the NSA where I worked for the better part of 20 years. It was kinda funny. I was still working there when I read it. A bit of fact, a lot of conjecture and a whole lot of bull. We all had a good laugh at work over it. In reality, some of the stuff in "The Hunt for Red October" was more accurate than the so-called tell all book. I still would like to know where Tom Clancey got some of his info. It was highly classified at the time and just so happened that I had to work that problem from time to time. That made for a REALLY good read. Layoutshooter

Layout,

Gulag is another good book too, if you have an idea of the bureaucracy of the soviets, it puts a lot of things in focus on what will happen here. Pretty good book. There are a few more that I have read which I have to pull out of the boxes to tell you the titles. I have three books on Stalin waiting to be read, one was written by some obscure KGB officer who was in charge of the presidential library (I think that is what they call it) and it adds to the research Edvard Radzinsky dod for his book.

Now you know where clancy gets his stuff, right?

Might be. there were a lot of dis-ilusioned KGB officers after the Soviet Union closed up shop, for the time being anyway. Stranger things have happened. I am going to have to "run into" you sometime when I am home. Bet we could have an interesting talk. Layoutshooter
