A touch of Joe

Your knowledge is literally in denial right now. No one is complaining about an inappropriate pat on the head.

President Trump and former VP Biden are moral equivalent.

As far as the economy, I will also agree with you that Obama was a better President than GWBush and Clinton was a better President than GHWBush.

But President Trump has set records, lowest unemployment for minorities in History, economy growing, I see help wanted signs on windows of businesses all over America, China trade practices being addressed, NAFTA was renegotiated, illegal immigration is being taken seriously, and we don’t have a warmonger like Obama, Bush, or Clinton starting new wars, in fact President Trump prevented war with North Korea so far.

I would much rather talk with you about the best way to improve America, but the Globalist Media doesn’t want that. The Globalists do not want America First, they want America Last.

Me st of what you said is truth. I have always given Trump credit for his trade policies. I’ve been pushing for tariffs and limitations of imports for thirty some years. I remember how badly it hurt us when the floodgates opened up. In Pontiac, MI, we had over 30% unemployment. It Also killed our national security. We are so dependent on China and others that if we were to be attacked like Pearl Harbor, there’s no way we could win a war like that. We don’t have the manufacturing capacity. Even if we did, we depend way too much on China and others for electronics and so many raw materials (unlike in the forties) we’d be sitting ducks.
I also agree strongly with what he’s trying to do with NAFTA. The only thing is I don’t like how he’s training Canada. Canada is our best trading partner with a fairly level trade balance. Trump should give real thought to that instead of shooting from the hip.

As Biden fights his way through the crowded Democrat primary he'll have to address his positions on the critical issues that will make up their platform to run against Trump. Of course he will probably shift farther to the left in order to appeal to the Socialist youth movement that's getting all the attention from the pundits right now. Most people likely don't have any idea where he stands on issues because the media prefer to focus on his personality and his goofy antics instead of his record and what he would stand for as POTUS. Should he get the nomination - which is not certain by any means - he and the Democrats would give voters a clear choice between their liberal agenda and Trump's conservative one. Here's a summary of his record (as it stands now) and what he would probably offer.
 • He SUPPORTS the Paris Climate Accord and seems to believe in the threat of man-made climate change
 • Raise the minimum wage - $15 a good target.
 • FREE PUBLIC COLLEGE; universal pre-K. This and his other economic positions would of course necessitate tax increases.
 • Ban Assault Weapons, universal background checks
 • Fix ObamaCare, which he obviously supported while Obama's VP
 • Against the Border Wall, even though he voted FOR the Secure Fence Act in 2006.
 • FOR citizenship for Dreamers
 • Authored Violence Against Women Act, voted against confirming Clarence Thomas, says female accusers should be believed
 • Supports NATO, voted FOR the Iraq War, voted AGAINST the Surge in 2006

Old Joe apparently also speaks to ghosts, claiming Margaret Thatcher recently expressed concerns to him about Trump. Of course the Gaffemeister was just forgetting about Theresa May who is barely clinging to her own position, but it makes you wonder if he has the mental acuity to withstand the rigors of a successful campaign - to say nothing of the most difficult job in the world.

Trump spoke to the forgotten Dems and they have reaped the rewards of a very good economy with jobs and better wages. What message does Biden offer that is any better?
These "Forgotten Democrats" were forgotten by the Democrat party and their standard bearers like Obama and Hillary. They now already have the jobs that have been created by Trump's policies with record low unemployment numbers for blacks and Hispanics, who historically have voted Democrat. Job creation has reached the point where there are more jobs available than people to fill them. So what is it that Moderate Joe can offer that Trump hasn't already produced? Free stuff! When the primary gets serious watch him move farther to the left to attract the socialist-leaning youth. He's already offered free college and college loan forgiveness is the next logical gift. More will come after that. When all is said and done there won't be much difference between him and Bernie.

Hopefully the "Forgotten Democrats" will remember it was the Republicans under Trump that improved their standard of living.
Sure, the wealthy standard of living is improving but the number of people living paycheck to paycheck is increasing all the time.
That’s why you and all other expediters are running at full capacity with no waiting for loads.
I was so busy I was breaking even and had to retire at the end of February. I for one was doing much, much better under Obama and I suspect you were too!
Hope it continues for you.

I was doing so well under Obama that I left my profession of over 20 years to expedite, lol.

Congratulations Democrat Party!

After years and years and years of calling Republicans racist and sexist, in the year 2019, your two front runners for the nomination for President are old white men.

Hopefully the "Forgotten Democrats" will remember it was the Republicans under Trump that improved their standard of living.
Every significant economic indicator shows remarkable growth due to the policies implemented by Trump. The average household income for the middle 20% of American wage-earners rose by 4.1% to $61,564 in 2017 over 2016 levels (the most recent figures available) - the largest increase of all the five quintiles. The top 5% (the rich) only rose 2.7%. The standard Democrat talking point claiming only "the rich" got tax breaks is a flat-out lie, but the mainstream media promotes it anyway. Black and Hispanic unemployment levels are at historical lows, but we don't see that in the MSM either. Should Biden or any other Democrat win back the White House these economic policies would be reversed to the Obama stagnation of 1.5% GDP growth and smothering business regulations.

Once again just look at Biden's record before and during his VP tenure with Obama, and his current positions on the issues. One that he hasn't really touched yet is the crisis at the border. He's already said he's against building the wall and you can bet your CDL that he'll advocate open borders before long to appease the Democrat party and pander to the Hispanic voters. In the final analysis, a Biden presidency wouldn't be that much different from Bernie.

Democrats better do some serious soul searching if they think they will win with Biden.

Sure, the wealthy standard of living is improving but the number of people living paycheck to paycheck is increasing all the time.
Define wealthy. Can you put a number such as annual gross income to your definition? My standard of living has improved over the last 2½ years. As for people living paycheck to paycheck, that's a common occurrence no matter what the annual income. Its more of a spending beyond one's means. Where did you get this little nugget of information: " the number of people living paycheck to paycheck is increasing all the time."? Even the MSM is grudgingly admitting that unemployment is the lowest in years and wages are up.
That’s why you and all other expediters are running at full capacity with no waiting for loads.

Define full capacity. Maximum weight? Maximum hours? Maximum volume? I'm in a van and have been since 1997. Over the years I probably average 10 -12 load offers a year that come to me while on a load. So yeah, I wait for loads. I knew that coming into this niche market. If you weren't aware of the nature of expedite freight, especially van freight, then I understand your problem.
I was so busy I was breaking even and had to retire at the end of February. I for one was doing much, much better under Obama and I suspect you were too!
You suspected wrong. My very best years in this business were the first couple years of this century. During the latter Bush years and all of the Obama years I learned to adapt and still be profitable. If you lack the basic business acumen to only break even, don't blame the President. Try to examine and separate your hatred for Trump the person and Trump the President. Also, take some personal responsibility for your situation or pray Bernie/Biden to become your savior in 2020.
Hope it continues for you.
Coming from you and some of our past exchanges here, I detect a lack of sincerity. It comes off as: "Hope it continues for you and you choke on a sandwich and die."

Democrats better do some serious soul searching if they think they will win with Biden.
The Democrat primary hasn't even started yet - not even the first debate or town hall meeting. At this point it's not a given that Biden will sweep the others away and take the nomination. He hasn't been in a serious debate or re-election campaign in a long time and his ability to think on his feet combined with a questionable command of the facts leave serious doubt about how he'll fare against young, aggressive competition. He's extremely prone to gaffes and brain farts when he's not on a script, and it will only take one or two of those in a primary debate to turn off voters for good. Remember Rick Perry? He had one memory lapse and never recovered.
