Such brilliant people that elected the disaster bringing us "change". Well, in my book $2686 is not change, it's BIG money. It's "change" though when our foolish leader commits every person in the country to that much more annual debt... for the debt servicing on the trillions of dollars he's throwing around not the elimination of the debt.

Oh yeah, I forgot that all you changelings are also seeing to it that millions of those "imported voters" get a pass on taxes and responsibility so they won't be paying their fair share, the rest of us will. Oh yeah, I forgot to calculate the price per taxpaying unit which for some of you is at least a h/w couple and perhaps a coupling or two so that multiplies your share.

Might as well make it a nice round $300 per month per person so thanks a lot all you brilliant changelings.

Lets not forget to thank all the people who voted for W. twice and bankrupted our country. These last 8 years of him has sure put the country in a world of hurt. It is so bad that longtime GOP voters were so disgusted that they went to the polls and voted for change.
I'll give you one thing this Stimulus spending bill scares the daylights out of me too. I admit it is drastic and I do not know if it will get us moving. It's just to bad that W. and his policies have put us in a situation like this.
I guess we will just have to see if it works, if it don't I'll blame W., if it does I'll give Our President the credit. You right wingers will do the opposite.

Doug,
I think you think that Bush did it all by himself? He bankrupted the country? You do know that the president can't bankrupt a country, they are not CEOs.

Don't forget we had congress doing its part more than Bush could, they passed the stuff to 'save' us from doom so quickly that they forgot to read it and some of them who happen to be democrats are blaming us for being caught off guard (AIG ring a bell?) Amazing that the republicans actually seemed to think that it was too much too soon actually stepped up to the plate and said it was wrong to spend money we don't have. And those who voted for those republicans told their representatives that it was the wrong move to spend money we don't have to get us out of the mess while the democrat voters went along with the mess praising the messiah and hoping for a chunk of that money that We the People are on the hook for.

Maybe you don't get the idea that the republicans tried to work with the democrats all the time the republicans were in power and many who don't read what has been going on in congress tend to forget that Bush also tried hard to work with them. He didn't veto a thing until they got into power, a lot of the work that passed his desk was from the democrats.

But we have a new era, we have an era of exclusion and blame, an era of power grabbing, righteous trashing of our country and hatred. We are again at the door step of the hippy culture of greed and selfishness, of demanding free stuff and not returning to the country that provides the freedoms we hold precious. It is the era of Pelosi and Reid, the era of rewritten rules to shut people out, not just the republicans but We the People. It is the era of fast tracking legislation without debate and ignoring the Constitution. By the way, I believe in free speech, and do you know we don't have free speech in congress - learn how it works and how they, the democrats, have changed it.

We have a new leader who beleives he was sent by God and who thinks he is the second coming of FDR to complete what wasn't finished. He believes in the archaic ideas of Deficit Spending, who has multiplied our national debt for our great great grandchildren to pay for (what ever happened to the mantra "for the chidren"?) and forgot to tell us that he doesn't exactly know what he is doing. He is counting on increased tax revenue that may never come and if it doesn't he will blame others for the failure, you know blame the rich and tax the rich crap. All of this will do nothig but fail because they can't produce blood out of a rock.

We have new problems, world problems with our debt holders and it is not Bush's fault that we are here at this point, it is the congresses fault which means it is you and I who are really to blame because we voted for them to make these stupid decisions and allowed them to ignore us.

Just wait Doug, you can blame Bush for a lot but I have a feeling that you will regret not having him in office in the near future.

Oh and one last thing;
You can use comrade as a greeting under both a socialist government and a fascist government.

Greg, So you voted for W. twice. You don't need to be so long winded and defensive. A simple "I'm sorry America" would suffice.:)

1 other thing, I hope all these long winded reports that you write aren't intended for me. I don't read them. People who voted for W. twice and now defend their actions instead of apologizing for their ignorance, Then continue with an "I know what's best attitude" are downright silly.

Actually if the dems put up who I wanted to see as a candidate, I would not have voted for Bush (don't ask because I won't tell) but I didn't feel ALGORE was presidential material (remember he was not endosed by Clinton and what does that tell you?) and Kerry? Please... he's a nouveau riche guy who knew better than all of us. I would rather have a stuttering leader than one who was concern with his hair in the wind coming off a plane - you know what I mean?

I am bored, I have work I have to do but I am too bored to get off my butt and go do it so I type instead.

I don't have the patience to write extremely detailed posts but I can tell you that Bush was responsible for far less of this mess than you give him blame for. There is detailed video evidence that Pelosi, Frank et al refused clear and incontrovertible evidence of problems and wrongdoings several years ago and by their actions were the primary catalysts in this fiasco.

You and Cal and others do nothing but denigrate Bush and those who voted against the even more incompetent and undesirable bums who were nominated to run against him. I place no halo on Bush's head. He had faults and failings and some of our current problems are his responsibility. I've always said that. In any event, the bulk of our problems are from call anyone who questions me a homophobe Barney Frank and the morons running FF as well as the Congress in general which during the last 30 months that we've been spiraling has been Pelosi/democratic controlled.

Going back to the 60's the liberal govt up here ran the country on deficit financing. This continued for years and of course cost a fortune to repay and it isn't even finished as of yet. Now for the last 10 years or so until this year the feds were in a surplus of income and paid down some of the debt. So you lucky people you'll be paying for this for years to come and of course so will your children.

We've survived and so will you. Yes taxes will go up and a lot of things will be more expensive but it'll become normal to pay more and you'll stop grumbling after a few years.
Start saving for the lot of rainy days coming.

I didn't vote for "W" twice, I only Voted for him once but I think You Obama Minions will and should be apologizing to America because People Like You are Blind in One Eye and Can't see out of the Other! How about 20 times that? 30 times that? 50 times that? That is only the interest expense on the money not the repayment of it. We'll all be paying exponentially more than $2686. Well, those of us who actually pay rather than mooch.

This I agree with, the republicans had only palin and that was all. They still don't get it, steel is running around acting like a fool and the people are getting fed up. I think the anger is not really because of Obama but because many feel that the republicans are lost and no one is representing the people who used to feel connected with them.

Well not really, the joke is that people were just organized a bit better, they used hate and envy to get a message across, the same thing that Hitler, Lenin and Stalin used. The message was flawed, it was hate the rich because they screwed you, look at what distruction has been done in the last 8 years and so on. The speaker was handled, Goebbels would have been proud at how they handled Obama and his wife but they did sort of stay on point. Too bad that the republicans didn't fight the fight like the dems did and been able to lie through the press, using the press to further fan the flames of hatred. They all made use of the Big Lie theory to the best of their ablity.

Feel free to spin it any way you'd like. A wise man once told me something I'll never forget:

"A lie, well told and stuck to, is just as good as the truth"

Since I am not a big political thinker, I let the Obama supporters explain this to me.
More of a simple approach.

It is true that a democratic Congress along with Bush did push up the national debt.
But whether it is Obama or a democratic congress, the reality is the spending of the last two months is greater than all the presidents INCLUDING Bush combined.
Like or hate Bush, you can't put this kind of foolishness off on Bush. He isn't there.
Signing and passing bills that haven't even been read is just ridiculous.
I think it is a issue with both parties. The whole culture in Washington has turned into a joke. I don't think there is much of a defense for either one.

I have to think you are the only one. Any other time I see something of this nature, it comes from the ones that aren't paying anything now. But, if we maintain our current spending spree, I think yourself and your grand children will be paying that tab. I certainly wish you well in your endeavor.
