    Wedding Anniversary!!

My sweetie and I have been married 37 years today! Please pardon my mush, but every day I give thanks to the good Lord for my blessings and he's is right at the top of my list. Here’s a link to a song that says it best. Tribute by Melissa Manchester - Rhapsody Music

    Excuse me?

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

    I need a new project.

I'm bored with my knitting project, so I guess I'll whine here instead. I'm knitting a dishcloth that I just can't get around to finishing. I should throw it away and start something else, but that's not being frugal. My deceased m-i-l was an avid crafter. You could open a craft store with all...

    Bacon

Would you believe Layoutshooter doesn't like bacon!!? Well modern bacon, he says. (eye roll here) The last time I found bacon he liked was from McCain Farms out of West Monroe, LA. It's a small family owned business that processes their own meat. I love bacon, and the smell of bacon cooking...

Strange/bizarre things you see on the road.

My mom used to make the bed dolls. I haven't thought about them for years. I don't know how to crochet. Only knit. I tried to learn crochet, but found I'm too uncooridinated. I keep the yarn in zip bags in my tote and alway wash or use hand wipes first.

Strange/bizarre things you see on the road.

I belong to ravelry but have never posted, I do go on knittinghelp.com. It's where I'm learning to knit. I did post the pic of my first afghan there. I've never looked at flickr or the blogs you mentioned, but I'll check them out. Thanks.

Strange/bizarre things you see on the road.

I've made a couple of yarn dolls; no knitting or crocheting involved. But I do knit. (Beginner level). Many dishcloths, a few scarves, and two afghans. I haven't attempted any clothes yet. I work out of tote bags to keep the yarn clean and my things together.

Strange/bizarre things you see on the road.

It amazes me some of the sights we see. Sometimes bad drivers. Sometimes funny signs. Today I saw an 'Oh, gross!' Several motorcyclists passed our truck. One driver, a woman, was wearing a sleeveless blouse. Her hands were holding the handlebars. As she passed us I saw her triceps...

    On the Road Recipes

If you have a Rocket Grill you can cook meatloaf patties in it! I cut my meatloaf recipe in half and used just enough water to moisten the bread, oatmeal or crackers. Shape into 1/4 lb patties and grill 2 at a time for 5 minutes.
