    Was 9 Pallets - Now hauling 15

The weight per pallet on decking depends on the rating of your shoring devices.

    60% + fsj + unknown fleet owner

I'm just glad we have reached a point that the fleet owner isn't stealing it. Well......in most cases.

    Was 9 Pallets - Now hauling 15

I remember posting on this years ago and some were bent on it not being "true expedite". Mainly because it wasn't "exclusive use". The load gets an exclusive pallet next to another exclusive shipment that pays a expedite rate. I then declared it a "exclusive load". :D

    Was 9 Pallets - Now hauling 15

This has been going on for years and been posted on about the same amount of times. Where do people think all those van loads disappear from in laredo?

CAT 3126 rough idles then dies

Could be a injector or speed sensor. That engine has two of them (speed sensors). Either one could give you those symptoms if you have ruled out the fuel pump.

    Bad experience

The only mistake you made was not confirming if this place had the alternator. Outside of that, your choices become limited. Having it towed to the consignee or going the repair route you did is likely the outcome. Your other option as mentioned, is to facilitate the whole repair yourself...

    fuel problem

I would recommend Seafoam. Works wonders in boats with diesel engines. They will build up stuff in the tanks quicker than a truck will because of alot of dock time. Then again, after reading some of the latest posts, it seems there is some extended rot times going on out there.

    60% + fsj + unknown fleet owner

I would agree with Cheri. Only the bad ever seems to get mentioned. Kinda the same with drivers. There is good out there, one just has to be patient and look.

    60% + fsj + unknown fleet owner

I do find it amazing looking at the occasional EO ads, how many are the "steering wheel holders". Always feels funny explaining to someone that you make more with the 60/40 split, but they will still argue with you and say they can only do the 40 percent even though it is less money. It is...

    60% + fsj + unknown fleet owner

If you don't know the fleet owner, may be wise to ask for current and past drivers phone numbers. Just might be a good idea. As far as fuel money with the big carriers, I think they all advance the fuel money when you pick up the load. At that point depending on the carrier, you already have...

Fleet Owner Reviews and Ratings Service

Does seem like there is a frequent ad for the Fed out of Amsterdam, NY. No idea if it is the same people or not? But this does dovetail into the most recent thread in the Fed forum trying everything to recruit trucks. Every carrier is looking for trucks (not vans) and fleet owners are many times...

    APU out

Almost seems like the carrier is the bigger issue. One short run in two weeks is not good. What carrier is this?

    over weight on steers

Not sure why you would sit for two weeks? A gallon of diesel is roughly 7.3/7.5 pounds per gallon. Or in your case, roughly 110 gallons need to be subtracted from your tanks to get to 800 lbs. If your capacity is 140 per side then 280 minus 110 gallons and you are there for the quick fix. No...

    100%

It is only a problem if you want it to be. As mentioned before and by the results you found in this thread, it isn't much of an issue. I don't pay any attention to it.

    Mexican trucks........again

You would best be served to contact OOIDA for the specifics you seek. They would have the fact based information that has been put together to date and the origin.

Fleet Owner Reviews and Ratings Service

The "angie's list concept" is probably not applicable here. Just not enough volume or interest to bring in a third party for investigations and verification which is what they do. I think it is BPA which is a auditing firm that is used for this purpose. Part of the reason there is a fee...

    where do you live?

The checks have limitations on amounts, so you write more than one depending on the total. Nothing complicated. Probably should add, this would not be the way to normally pay drivers, but is a option if for some reason money owed was stalled.

    where do you live?

If the above is true, then the fleet owner is pretty much an embarrassment. With regards to the pay issue, any fleet owner is going to to have a comdata account. Within a half hour or so, any amount of money can be paid to a driver. I don't get this "have to wait on your money because you...

    Fedex C.C.

Reputation is the key. Especially when there are many fly-by-night owners that have no business being an owner. Get the names & numbers of current and past drivers. Past history isn't a cure all but it will tell you how past dealings have went.
