    APU unit question

Just tryin to save you some heartache. If you read the different truck forums and listen to the drivers. The tripak and Onan users are the only consistently happy customers. The tripak does not have to be tied into the truck system. That is only if you it to warm the engine coolant. Im told...

    APU unit question

If you want an actual APU, get a thermoking tripak. If you want a seperated unit (probably the best) get an Onan and a rooftop. OR, you can always spend a few thousand here and a few thousand there trying out these other boat anchors to see if they've brought their product up to par with the...

    Flat or Van?

That would be your best bet since you want a minimum of 12' of sleeper. They would probably set up the truck and/or the trailer. You'll be all set!

    Hazmat's Ford TerraMaxx

Just got through surfing a few tint law websites. Seems most states allow recoprocity, some don't. The MO laws are showing 35% and that is good in all but just a few states anyway. You may have trouble in NY or CA, but the rest seem like you'll be ok. I need to do mine.

    New kid on the block

Some of the other guys might comment different, but 1500 seems pretty light duty? I dont think uou need the authority or mc # on a van even if you went out on your own. Xiggi gave good advice except for the prostate part. :) I think he meant Tristate or Bolt. Not a lot of carriers looking for...

Hey, there always opportunities for extra cash. If those are contract trucks, just hang a sign around your neck that says "these numbers could, possibly be adjusted" :D

    Might be a dumb question

After thinking about this a bit. Try the quick and easy first. When the engine is cool, preferably early in the morning when it is the coolest, tighten every hose clamp. Good chance your leak will go away.

Any info on A. Blair Enterprises

Good post with actual numbers and experience. Driving their Sprinter for .60-.62/mile and you buying the fuel is a good gig...especially with good miles.

    Might be a dumb question

Likely what they call a cold water leak. When at operating temps, heat expansion seals the leak. When parked, as everything cools back down, the leak reopens. I had the same problem with my ST. On inspection, I could see a trail of water coming from the center of the radiator when truck was...

    Van Load Safety

Sounds like you have etrack on the floor and the walls. First upgrade I would do, would be to fasten the track directly to the metal floor or some type of metal structure. In fact, if the etrack sits on top of the wood floor and the wood floor is on top of the metal floor....your using up a...

    Van Load Safety

yeah, with a C, the same piece of freight unsecured has to travel through at least TWO pieces of aluminum sheathing which are at least 1/32 of an inch thick! Securement is the key and waaaaay too many vans have none. A simple solution in most vans would be etrack fastened or welded to the...

    Might be a dumb question

Just to be sure everyone knows this. The old type antifreeze (the green stuff) is toxic and can kill small animals. Im guessing humans too. What Phil suggests here is fine I'm sure, I've seen people do it and they didn't fall over dead. Just remember though, Phil said "a drop"...as in a single...

    Might be a dumb question

To your original question: A/C condenser will have refrigerant in it. (If you were loosing very much here, your a/c system would be needing charged) The charge air cooler is filled with air (side note: a leaking charge cooler is an invisible mpg loss) The radiator (and anything connected to...

    Ptl?

Sounds like multiple carrier operations at their finest. Although, I doubt that PTL is a willing or known participant.

My suggestion? Clean it up as you go. I appreciate and respect the facilities John provides for us. I would rather clean up behind someone else now and then than to throw it in John's face on a regular basis that his efforts to make our lives easier are not being respected. The people you are...
