It depends a lot on the engineering behind it. There has been a lot of advancement in materials technology, including metal and/or composites. I see it very possible to build something lighter, stronger and possibly even cheaper.

Blue Parrot Expressway....great headset. The Blue Parrot headsets and some others like them are the best options on the market for truck drivers in my opinion. They have the noise reduction, clarity and volume needed to overcome the noise in a truck.

I did run across something while looking at tint laws recently. Although its not much, apparently the FMCSA has made it legal for com.ercial vehicles to have tint on the side windows. It does have to allow 70% light transmission though, which isnt alot of help, but some.
