The founding ideals of the United States remain to this day unique in the world. The rest of the world would strongly disagree that world has the same ideals as goals. Those same goals arguably should be for the world, but they are not.

Ideals as lofty and unique in the world as those upon which the United States of America was founded can never be fully achieved. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't be the goal to work towards.
