Hey that would be up to Lawrence on the things that people shared. I'm a driver/fleet owner so I don't know. I don't think that things should be closed off to people see what is wrote.
How old is your truck? I can say that my C units at FedEx made great money their. They are on with Panther now and doing fine. Both are good places to work for. FedEx is more a team operation company. Every time one of our drivers runs solo at Panther they do pretty good, but we run teams 95% of...
I have a customer that calls me for loads out of El paso, Tx. I set them up with Panther so I set a 647 mile van load up today going to Dallas,Tx. it was one skid at 173 lbs.
You are setting your self up to fail if you run 3 weeks out and one week off a month. I don't know any CEO's who take 12 weeks off a year. By doing it that way you are out of service 25% each month. You will always have one week out of the month you will not have a settlement that week.

After talking to a few of the drivers I deal with and asking them how they felt about this pay scale, I wanted to ask people in the forum.
Would you work on a pay scale like this? It's based on your in service time and if the owner is paying the fuel and tolls.
Each driver starts out at a...
Now, now folks. I don't care if a driver is gay as long as they do the job that was asked of them. We had two women that was gay, they was the best team we have ever had. If they called me up and asked if we had a truck to drive, I would welcome them back anytime. They was in service over 85% of...
Yea your better off asking for some of the phone numbers of his drivers that drive for him now and the ones that did drive for him. I'm sure you can get the info your looking for from the drivers. Good luck
Welcome to EO, you can find many good people here that will help you along your way in the expedite business. Teamcaffee, Davekc, Leo, Greg, Moot, Cheril, trutle and many more I can't remember off the top of my head.
Things will pick up, Jan is always slow out the gates. Been like that for the last 15 years I been doing this. Thats why I tell everyone to be in service as much as you can the last four months of the year to help with the slow times of Jan, Feb, and March.
Steve haven't they been doing that for some time? One of my last loads was a global load and it paid very good. Sounds like this guy on the other forum don't know what he is talking about. Robbie Roberson is in charge of all the lease trailers at FedEx still, right Steve?
Which would rather have as a driver or a team? Getting 60% and 100% of the FSC and you pay fuel and tolls or 40% and the owner pays the fuel and tolls? So many ways of leasing a truck from a truck owner.
