    Loading Accident-Need Info

Several days ago our driver (my Son) was prepping our van to take on a load. While positioned on the ramp the load came out on a hi-lo (which he didn't hear) and the hi-lo driver hopped off the hi-lo to open the door without setting the parking brake and the hi-lo went forward and pinned him...

    Retired Military (soon to be)

Welcome. I am retired from the Navy as well,23 years active,26 years retired. Did alot of different jobs in the Navy and found that being the Fire Marshal on an aircraft carrier was a great job! My motto was "Navy retirement isn't a great deal of money but it affords you the ability to do what...

    Restless Leg Syndrone

It's hard to describe. But generally you are just inextreme discomfort, you feel like you need to stetch your legs, run, jump around, etc. It usually comes around in the late evening and makes it difficult to go to sleep. If it comes on after you're asleep you are continuiously tossing and turning...

    Restless Leg Syndrone

I am sorry that I implied a 8-5 routine. It usually happens in the evening hours and continues through the night. Squirming in the seat of your vehicle is very uncomfortable on long runs. Exercise helps for short periods but never has resolved my problem awake or otherwise. I am also not sure of...

    Restless Leg Syndrone

I have suffered with this for quite some time and have tried Requip & Mirapex as prescribed by Mayo Clinic. They work for awhile then they seem to me to aggravate the condition. I also suffer from sleep apnea but back to restless leg, I was at a loss on what to do because in the early evening I...

    6.0 Powerstroke Good-Bad-whatever?

Thanks for the info. Everything I've researched concurs with your advice. Seems as though 2006 and newer will be safe. Too bad they had to get rid of the 7.3. It done us well for almost 600K. I run a 7.3 IDI in my 92 F350 crew cab dually with about 235k. A couple of years ago I thought about...

    coleman cooler problem

I would return the item if possible; however, if that's not possible I would take it apart to see if the motor is binding or the fan is rubbing. It's pretty straight, just take out the screws and leave the wires in the terminal block and run the motor also it should almost be completely quiet...

    Deep Cycle Batteries

Amen to that! After 20 years of full time rving I've gone through plenty of 12 vdc so called deep cycle batteries. Changed to golf cart and am well pleased. They have a greater reserve capacity and I believe are strnger. Big Al :)

    Transmission Help?

We seem to have solved the problem with the old style trouble shooting "KISS", they put it up on the rack and cleaned all the connectors. Seems to work, Thank God! I am totally disgusted with Dealers. They raise the hood and it's a minimum $70-100 even if it's only 10 minutes. ATRA certified...

    Transmission Help?

Anyone know a good transmission shop near Rochester Hills Michigan? We're having problems with our Ford E350 Van. I searched out one called Transmissions Unlimited in Utica and will proably call in the morning. They seem to check out with ATRA membership and BBB.org. The overdrive light has been...

What place do you like to fuel at?

You can order from the kids meal at any age & kids peach pancakes are my favorites or oatmeal with a muffin at CB or Lunch...

    Portable Generator Securement

I have thought about the RV/Onan solution and also a Kohler makes a nice one;however, they are expensive and fuel distribution is a problem. I have a RV A/C (Carrier 13500btu's) in my shop and also I have a 4KW Onan Propane generater in my shop but both seems too large & heavy for Sprinter. Onan...

    Portable Generator Securement

Good point Greg. I'll have to check the structural integrity of the hinges and make a judgement call. As a retired Naval Engineering Officer that's important! That may be a good point to put it lower and closer to the hinge to maximize weight distribution. I hope to not exceed 100 lbs, probably...

    Portable Generator Securement

I actually am leaning towards a sturdy tray with side gussets secured to the back door with bolts through the door and a backing strip on the inside for reinforcement. You would need to keep it under 1oo lbs but using a digital inverter generator this shouldn't be a problem. Big Al :)

    Portable Generator Securement

Have you had any luck running an A/C with a inverter? Does the inverter have enough watts to kick on the compressor. I know they have enough for running theA/C however, the startup on most A/C's requires a strong jolt. Big Al :)
