Changing Carriers and Thanks to EO Members

They sent us a load offer about an hour and a half after we left for home. (34 hours of dwell time) But by then we were already in the going home mode.

    Slush Busters question

Since we are in the process of removing our signage with a heat gun I was wondering if it would be possible to use the heat to get it to stick to the windshield?

Changing Carriers and Thanks to EO Members

We didn't choose Landstar over Load 1 based on the number of trucks they have recruited. John Elliot knows what he is doing and how many trucks are needed in his fleet. We decided to go with Landstar because we feel they are a better fit for us. Our goal is to work with the brokers and...

Changing Carriers and Thanks to EO Members

After three years with FedEx Custom Critical we have decided it is time for us to leave. Six months ago we were ready to move on but decided to give the FedEx flat rate program a try first. The program works well if you can ignore a few deceptions. Such as not always being paid to your planned...

Manning, SC. Getting ready to DH home. Haven't gotten any load offers since we gave our termination notice yesterday morning. I guess FedEx Custom Critical doesn't want us to work our last ten days. We'll have fun pulling off the signage this week.:)

    lookin for a website

Why would anyone be upset about a link drawing people (potential customers and owner operators) to use their web site? Sounds to me like it was a smart move to put the link on there.

FedEx makes us pay for random drug tests and two DOT inspections a year. We also pay $35 a week for QC, our fuel taxes and @ 2% of our gross for WAC. We get free Tripak. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

    Lift Gate Lift Axle

Absolutely correct. Every carrier has different uses for there trucks. FedEx, Panther and Landstar do a lot of lift gate. I don't think Load 1 or Allstate Express do many lift gate loads.

    Lift Gate Lift Axle

The additional pay for lift gate would be the same for flat rate or percentage. Flat rate pays extra for all accessorials. But, the lift gate would lower my weight capacity below 10,000 pounds and probably make my truck a C unit.

    Lift Gate Lift Axle

It looks like I will have the money soon to add either a lift gate or a lift axle. Our truck has a 24 foot box, is double framed and has a 450 HP engine. But we only have a 10,500 pound capacity. A lift axle would raise our weight capacity and allow us to haul heavier freight. But, it seems...

    Insurance

When we ran for one fleet owner we did a straight 60/40 of whatever the run paid. He paid for everything including work accident, fuel taxes and tolls. All we paid was fuel. Even though he got 40% of the FSC we thought it was a fair deal and think it worked in our favor.
