Bump. I just read this old thread and found it interesting on many levels. The insane conditions a newbie may be asked to endure. How patiance can be a good thing. A lot of loyalty to a smaller, less talked about, carrier. I just thought there were many things in here for a newbie to read...

Geo is one of the few not idling to keep cool or warm or to recharge batteries. Also, no mountains. I wonder how much his different style of operation plays into his mileage. He also probably has a consistent supply of good fuel. And I think he uses an additive. Smart operator.

Oh, in today's technical age I believe it'd be pretty easy to prove you were driving. The time and effort wouldn't be used unless there was a major reason to do so. Like a fatality accident, large HM spill, etc. When that driver pulled his semi in front of that Amtrak train near Mokena Illinois...
