    Panther Refusal Stats

 YIKES Scuba! I don't think I could handle THAT much negativity in my daily life! I almost come to the point that I avoid other Panther drivers because it's a rare thing to find one that isn't complaining about miles, money, the color of the sky etc etc

    Do You Use Airtabs?

Yes, we purchased air tabs for this truck. We haven't gone to the extreme that GottaGo has, but we've thought about it. We're in a Western Star and that "billboard" out front isn't exactly wind friendly. We love them. They have increased the visibility to the rear, and they keep the...

    Extra Charges

Although with Panther, our pay is broken out, we also don't quibble about what that entails. That being said, if the load requires extras, because of our pay system, we do verify that they will be paid before we take the load. We look at the total pay, and if it's profitable, we take it...

    My Nephew

Shooter....Tell that young nephew of yours that we are thankful for his service. When our son was over there I was a nervous wreck. He was an MP with the 82nd Airborne 2001-2005. Now, he's a Deputy down in Collier County, FL.

    Illinois 55 limit debate

I'd like to see split speed limits go away, but what I would really like to see happen is the speed limits ENFORCED equally for all. I hate driving in CA because the speed difference is so great that 4 wheelers are zipping around your truck like ants on pie. 55/70 mph is DANGEROUS!

    Extra Charges

Phil, I believe you are saying, that you are being compensated, for what ever the load requires when you accept the load? If I remember correctly, with FDCC, doesn't break out extra "pays" for a load, it's a straight amount and the driver figures out if it is profitable or not. Is this correct?

    Naked in Baltimore!

Streakin, are the normal bags that the engines are wrapped in padded or is it like the thick plastic that they place on boats for hauling?

    Panther Refusal Stats

Where to where? Elite? General? These figure into whether or not the load is accepted by us or not. If it's a general load probably not, but if it's a government load then probably, and if it's a reefer load probably.

    Acceptance Rate and Fuzzy Math

Turtle... I didn't mean that your explanation sounded like the tax code! I thought you did great with "explaining" the tax code. Sorry for the confusion. `

    Acceptance Rate and Fuzzy Math

Is it just me, or does the explanation of how it is figured sound like the tax code? Take this month minus last Tues, add next Wed, divide by Monday a week ago...not counting this, but counting that....etc. Good Grief! There had to be an easier way! Turtle brings up a point Does anyone...

    *&$#*&( Repairs

Shooter don't feel like the Lone Ranger. The alternator on our reefer was replaced 2/11/09. We got loaded 3/10/09 with a reefer load, we were sending in our depart messages when the reefer quit. We got unloaded again. Headed to Thermo King. This time it was corroded wiring... to the...

    Professionalism and Appearance

We all keep fussing about the lack of freight, the low rates, the company doesn't "care" about the O/O etc. etc. We did a swap a few days ago that required the use of our lift gate. It was in Chicago, east of 94 so low clearances may be a problem. Since we'd never been to this particular...

Response to Ateam's avoid this section.

When we lived in Albuquerque, we decided to take a road trip (before we became truck drivers) we went through Pie Town and took a little road just outside of town. (NM 603) to (NM36) to (NM 117) For the next 3 hours we were in the middle of absolute NOWHERE, no houses, no people, no nuttin...
