India, we do that quite a bit as well. We have a dog, so being close to grass is a priority. A truckstop, with an open field for frisbee time, is perfect for us. A tired Terrier is a good Terrier. :D

My son was laid off last Monday, he was working at a new job on Tuesday. No it doesn't pay as much, and he now has to travel across town, but it's a job and will pay his bills. What I don't understand is, if things are so bad, how is it that all these people can still afford to go out to eat...

I have to agree with Leo, on the original subject I don't see a reason to have so called "hate crimes" legislation. It's another layer of BS, just enforce the laws that are in place now.

The problem with parks, is that many times, they have signs that say "No Commercial Vehicles". We called to make reservations at a campground and they had to see the truck first. The campground was very close to where we had delivered so it wasn't a big deal, but if we would have had to DH...

Fact: I sent a check to my son by US Postal Service 4 years ago and he never did receive it. It never cleared my bank account. So yes, the post office does lose mail.

The drivers web is back up, but the map isn't updated to the new boards. Right now, it says we're still on the Topeka board and there is another truck here too. Where is "here"? I'll be glad when they get this done so we can start figuring it out again.

Yep, it said we were the number 1 first out, but when I checked again, the other one was gone. Now we are showing as the only one here, still with a 1st out, that we brought with us from Denver. Go figure.

At night I turn my lights off and on to signal to a truck that's it's safe to come back over. During the day, I flash my brights. At night, I would much prefer the on/off because the brights temporarily blind me when I'm looking in the mirror.

We don't run unless the run pays. We are cutting back on all the extras, and doing everything possible to keep expenses down for our owner. We negotiated and EM that paid our fuel costs, we don't pay for fuel, but anything we can do to help the owner, helps us as well.
