No really I have insurance coverage???

I would say they are. Ours personally have not, but they haven't risen either. I am amazed at how cheap some of the loads go for. We had a large carrier advertising here recently with "great pay" . Dollar a mile and FSC. Wow. Not even worth pulling out of a parking space.

No really I have insurance coverage???

Great explanation. I would agree that some want the proper coverage, but not sure what that is. The other concern as some are driving down the rates, it lends itself to more rogue operators and carriers trying to game the system. No easy answers.

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

The tricky part is providing the right information. As more information becomes available, more will find a way around it. Seems to be the case. 300 a year doesn't sound like the right kind of policy. Sounds like a basic auto policy.

    Another Panther Lawsuit

The last I heard they were trying to work something out with Progressive. Which translates into no one knowing anything. The lawsuit I believe was over a wreck and who paid what part of the claim.

    Another Panther Lawsuit

It isn't a new lawsuit as it was settled some time ago. If one currently is insured through CIS, it is business as usual whether adding a truck or anything like that. What they are not doing is writing a policy for someone new to Progressive. They are trying to get that resolved is my...

    Rice for President perhaps?

I don't agree. Just would have to be the right one.

    Rice for President perhaps?

Liberal media wouldn't allow it. Too much of a connection with Bush.

    Self-Driving Freightliner Licensed in Neveda

I like the concept in certain applications. Anyone reading this will likely be retired before they have to worry about being replaced. More apt to be replaced by foreign illegals before automation of any kind.

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

The 5k deductible doesn't apply to Panther. Some other carriers have that as a deductible for the liability side and for cargo insurance.

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

Umm??? Yes they do. We pay 7.50 per week per vehicle at Panther for what is called a "liability limiter". Got 10 trucks, that is 3900 a year. They say that is so the deductible stays at $1000 per vehicle. And of course you have the other side. Some nameless carriers have a deductible of 5k...

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

Very true. I think a lot of companies are passing their insurance costs off to the operator. Tough sell as the operator gets hit twice. Once from the carrier and then through their own bobtail policy. Just another reason we won't do the cheap freight.

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

Is this like driving illegal to claim you have faster service? The reality is, rogue carriers cost everyone whether through cheap rates or paying higher insurance premiums to subsidize the ones who won't. Almost like Obama care.lol

Should have called earlier Turtle. Could have got you back on the road sooner.

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

Very true. No one knows better than I when starting in the vending industry. Use to sell gumballs for a penny. lol They add up when doing 48 states. But like trucking, it starts with the first penny. See, there is something to that "there's my penny in pond".

    What happened to Eclipse Expediting?

Just amazing. I am still shocked that some don't realize this is just a high dollar hobby.:D

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

Your last question says it all. Until they take some responsibility in their communities, it is a sad road ahead. Trillions, yes trillions, of government/taxpayer dollars spent, and really no change. Throwing money at it will change nothing and hasn't up to this point. The very people they need...

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

That is what long term liberal policies bring to many of these areas. Chase all the business and higher property tax payers out and you get a mess. Even when they have federal money, it is often wasted away. Baltimore is second in the nation in spending per student and look at their education...

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

If they are protesting they are not criminals. When they riot and loot, then they are criminals. Pretty simple.

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

I would disagree. I see them as two separate issues. Not to do that does nothing but relieve parents of any responsibility. That is a different issue than mistreatment by police.
