    Saying "no" to cheap freight!!

Certainly plays a part. No doubt about it.

That is true. Maybe more like " many liberals and union folks".;)

    Saying "no" to cheap freight!!

Supply and demand are a large factor, but not the only one. I do agree with Phil on this one. Carrier antics and plain silliness tips those equations. You are correct. "No need to complicate the simple". If rates are falling to operators, and balance sheets are climbing for carriers, a quick...

    The Brian Williams saga.

Just my personal opinion, I do like some of his "Talking Point Memos". Not a fan of his interviews. Cuts people off and talks over the top of them constantly. Although I did enjoy his interview of Barney Frank. Outside of that, the other thumbs up is "Watters World". That is hilarious at times.

No, I think they are afraid of him. As far as "wishful thinking", way too early to have that on the plate.

Liberal News' Biases and Double Standards.

I don't read that much into it. I think the liberal media is afraid of Walker. If not, why spend the time on him that they do?

    The Brian Williams saga.

I find the whole thing hilarious. Williams gets caught, and likely will be permanently replaced by Holt. Ratings didn't change much with the shift which is bad for Williams. Lester in my opinion does a pretty decent job with what he does. It is a political hit (maybe deserved) when this is...

    Saying "no" to cheap freight!!

I don't know about everyone else, but I am enjoying a little banter between carriers. It is good to hear the prospective from the carriers point of view. Of course they have to be careful. One a year or so ago referred to drivers "as only a commodity" and he hasn't been seen on here since. ;)

    Any good advice?

Yep, I would put it on the hook and tow it to a dealer that has the equipment for it. This place likely is going to hand you a large bill without ever really doing anything. At 14 months, is it out of warranty?

    Saying "no" to cheap freight!!

Rates haven't changed too much. What many companies keep certainly has. I was in the dark for some time until I started looking for my own freight. An eye opener it was.

And your chart explains why the industry has the issues it does. No one should be surprised. No need to complicate the simple.

    Saying "no" to cheap freight!!

That works the other way as well. I have countless times seen a carrier pay more to the outside carrier than they do their own fleet. Quite a few reasons they do this.

    The Brian Williams saga.

I think it is funny with the Williams disaster, MSNBC tries this approach.

    Saying "no" to cheap freight!!

I think it is a combination of many things and your example fits right in there. When you look at all this stuff and lack of transparency from many nameless carriers, we just can't be shocked at where parts of the industry are at. A trip through the EO or transportation archives have talked...
