    Driving for fleet owner questions

Fuel buyer should get the FSC. Otherwise, when fuel jumps high you get poked.

That Danville has been popping up a lot to several points. I keep bidding too high and losing out as I drive through there. I guess I have to wh0re my van out when I DH through there. :(

Pappy's Smokehouse. St Louis. Good ribs! Super-nice owner. Place was packed on a Friday for lunch. About a 30 min wait. Yelp showed people waiting as long as 90 mins!!

Running bid board only can be treacherous & depressing. I should know. Bid on 30 loads, assuming there are 30 to bid on, and not even a response from the brokers. Rude. Rude. Rude. But just when you wipe the last tear off your cheek and close the chamber you land a load that keeps the dream alive.

Bout to drop my 50% DH load I picked last night. Weather in Nashville was perfect for a great sleep last night. I think it was about 60 with light rain. DH home this morning and taking the famalam to St Louis for the weekend for a little funsies. I love taking Sally & the kids to places...

    Good drivers, bad drivers

Maybe a fleet owner should hire homeless people. Then there is no home in MI to go to. Huh? That whole thing sucks. I doubt that person would ever cross paths with me since I'm only currently interested in "under" O/Os that can sit on pay for the 35~45 days I sit on invoices. Unfortunately...

Only one time to El Paso. One load out of El Paso. But I was heavier than I should have rolled. Portage, MI is a long ride at 62 mph and wondering if an axle is gonna run out on you.

There also seems to be an trend in the last few weeks, at least on the posted load areas I've seen. 1. No area seems "hot" on Mondays. 2. No morning seems to be super busy right out of the gate. Now, that said, I filter my load emails and only see loads for vans, sprinters, cubes & small...

a bad and costly trend....Detention time

Many factors I imagine. Does the carrier give a hoot about the driver and relations going forward? Does the carrier give a hoot about the customer/broker and relations going forward? I learned long ago that sometimes, in business, you have to take a loss, or don't profit, and just MOVE ON...
