"comfort level" of straight truck vs van?

Reason if I go to a straight I'm going with a Volvo hear they steer nice and easy. Also I think my approach will be is to just pretend you are driving a large RV and not driving a 53, happy with a class b :) Being aware of height clearance signs should help and also you can get a garmin dezl...

I know 2 Sprinter shops and repairs aren't cheap for the 08-13 Sprinter compared to the vintage Sprinters. From what I gather here (in the current state of expediting) is that its difficult to manage a van fleet with over saturation, rates and so on, back in 2012 the response might have been...

Looks like a 72" Bentz sleeper. What is the width and height of box?

    Solo: Van vs Straight Truck

Are you paying cash for the straight truck, whatever truck you can pay cash for eliminate the payment and watch $ come in. Start small and work your way up. I bought my first 06 Sprinter in 2010. Also on the van go with a known carrier with access to freight and make yourself available and at...

    Becoming an Expediter

Most say go with the 22 ft box, I'm wondering if the 20ft box would be ok myself. Anything shorter doesn't seem like a good idea. I think the 96" on the inside would be substantial for two 48" pallets, wondering about height, as far as the height goes I would want to match it up with the top of...

Anybody have the Bose Ride System II?

VNM 630 I believe is the same truck as the 670 VNL. 670 just has the high top and larger front end and different engine options. Here is a pic of the VNM 630, not many of them out there. 2012 Volvo Vnm64t-630, Conley GA - 120546677 - CommercialTruckTrader.com

Good weekly estimated revenue for a solo straight? Running full time.....

Which companies are making 4k (a month) you mean and what state/city would these companies be located in? If the semi's are doing 20k a month sound like that might be your best opportunity.

Anybody have the Bose Ride System II?

I would think if you had a 22 ft box instead of a 53 it would climb the hills better. D13 much more Hp then the D11. Definitely only considering ishift. I've seen a good bit of semi's passing me out west when I cruise 70 in my Sprinter and I'd say half or more of them are the Volvo and Cascadia...

Any money in straight trucking alone?

Anybody paying 1.75 a mile all in? I don't mind dead heading free if they pay my fuel 20-50 miles. I guess the plus side more then what the rate is, is being able to have work when you want to, aka loads available. I've heard stories where the rate goes up if you're the only straight in the area.

    Cargo Van Best Company

50/50 wow and I was thinking about giving the driver 70/30. 60/40 driver pays fuel seems the best way to go for fleet owner.

    Sprinter Van Freight

If you do your homework Sprinter was the van that started it all and will continue to advance and revolutionize the driving experience with new features on upcoming model. Wait until the 2018 Model comes out, nothing will compare, fuel economy is very important and the Sprinter gets the best in...

    Becoming an Expediter

My main base now is Austin Tx but I have friend in LA and also Grand Rapids and used to live in Denver, decent amount of frieght in those cities to keep me going but I want to stay local now till I can upgrade to straight or 15/16 Sprinter. Leaning more towards the straight, its going to be...

    Becoming an Expediter

Sounds about right, I will push for a minimum of 1 per week or quit. If they don't use ya they lose ya approach ;) After all I'm not taking local runs to get rich, it's more like to keep the lights on and stay local until it comes time to do the long hauls again. No need to live off your new...
