Trying to communicate with a 2005 Sprinter (permanent limp mode transmission) i can't find a reasonably priced tool, the old DRB 3 chrysler scan tool goes for thousands when I see one...

Hi and thanks for replying...I read somewhere that you could use actual expenses or a simplified per mile deduction, which if I was allowed to use it, would eliminate the need for me to organize receipts and calculate expenses. It would also in my case make a bigger return as each 100 percent...

Thank you...its 45 min away, got free storage and use of shop...was going by memory and it was a larger square on center console down low with digital readout flashing like an unset clock...It'd be awesome if I got a free diesel heater with that van :D

There's an LED display on my console, bottom left, that's flashing at me with buttons...does that mean I've got an aux heater or constant RPM switch? :confused2:

Thanks I'm starting there I haven't even mentioned the brake, esp, abs, and wheel lights on, you're lucky you didn't take that one in - they'll tell you it's every module and sensor on the van...retired mechanic who kept his DS 708 lending it to me tomorrow :grinning:

If you have no debt it can be done. As cheap a vehicle a you're comfortable with, try to find out company that won't force you to buy after its 5 years old; I'm surviving by taking local courier type work as well; I don't wait around after a drop, but deadhead to the next available run/good...

It's home! What a gawdaful ride that was in second gear PLUS limp mode from stuck egr...6 hours to go 120 miles through Hamilton and Toronto at max 30 mph! On the positive side no leaks, temp. stayed dead on 80c at 3000 rpm and only used an eighth of a tank...
