It's July - Is everyone on vacation or something?

I haven't been called in July yet. Is that newsworthy? Preparing for a major recession here. Hasn't happened yet, but could... I'm enjoying the "retirement" dry run Added HVAC to my skills. Fixed our house a.c. now on to the cars. Missed a deal on a recovery machine for $150 Canadian. I...

Didn't you hear? I'm the only one working :p If you're bored, I recommend Zimaleta sprinter videos. Watching the first videos where he uses a hammer on brakes is priceless (Maybe I should make one. Is a slightly Asberger home mechanic entertaining? I enjoy spinning new brake rotors, they shiny)

Oh it was 3000 lbs of hand sanitizer destined for up north, I only forwarded to Ottawa. Without a vaccine I'm doing locals for the foreseeable future.

Well, no issues other than the usual shift problems. Although I didn't expect those skids to move. They did - right through the back door, only thing holding it in was the door lock. First and last time I didn't strap down Currently listening to the wife share menopausal stories and wanting to...

:p bad pun I know, not my strong suit For anyone who has had the yellow abs lights on a sprinter, this is the updated part (1000x thicker) that might finally save me from a hundred "resets" of the transmission a day Continuing on my quest of a perfect 2005 while things are slow

May Day What’s going on banter

Things must be coming back, lots of work available. I'm still personally quarantined tho. No USA, no retail. "PPE" compliant dock to dock only. Had 2 runs in 24 hours Looks like I'm keeping the 2005. 22 mpg loaded and comfortably above the speed limit Think I've found the culprit for the abs...

More work. Local-ish so it makes more sense per hour...above $40 Canadian per hour suits me fine Really nice to drive now, didn't realize part of me was waiting for the explosion. Everybody asks me if I'm driving, they can't hear the grinding from the differential anymore I guess. Crept up on...

Wow, a delivery. And it's warehouse to warehouse (distancing, mask n gloves) Amazing what they come up with when you turn down other work, sometimes

Update to "drives fine" it's like a Cadillac on the open highway! Not that I had anything to deliver, although the company called and said I have to do a delivery to stay on the payroll (weird, probably just checking in on the van being fixed) Of course now I hear the front wheel bearings. I'll...

Test drove yesterday. Drives fine except no steering and it won't get out of first gear. Most importantly no rearend leaks Degreasing engine bay, changing air, oil and fuel filter, cleaned and greased the back brakes when I put them together I'm using this time to do a crapload of stuff I...

Lol I forgot about that. In my mind you'd all be laid out in the back of the sprinter, or getting hotels Nice! I've got quite a few years yet before we can do it Safe travels Sent from my SM-A705W using Tapatalk

Now that you can; stop and enjoy NOT driving straight thru ;) Fist time I left Ontario going west was last year. Who knew it was 24 hours driving just to cross the province (I sure didn't)

Got the rearend back together. Good drive pattern, pinion preload and backlash perfect No more wiggle at the yoke. Didn't test drive yet, wife had to go out. She absolutely loves the once a month I'm working and IMO is getting way too used to it :tearsofjoy:

Spent more than I made this month already. Time to address everything on my personal "fleet" New suspension for the Chevy Express van, it earned it on 3 emergency deliveries while my sick sprinter awaits divine intervention Also picked up new coated rotors for the front on the sprinter. Not...

If you want to drive up to Ontario, I could use a hand :tearsofjoy: I was advised to suspend cross border coverage if I could for now, save money...I won't of course. One company left for cross border insurance here in Ontario and I'm afraid I won't get it back. Tried to help a friend get...

Well last night went ok, and I stay alive another month. Back at work on the sprinter. I know the issue now; the splines on the pinion gear and the yoke are so tight, they won't assemble with 3/4 inch drive truck ratchet (which I managed to break by screaming at the sky and bashing into the...
