    Staying warm this winter?

Those kinds of electrical requirements will definitely mean a good house bank, probably 300-600 amp hours if you go with a regular fridge, or 200-400 if not. If you are heating the entire van, the D4 will definitely see some time at High (and of course at Boost), but not really all that often...

Yes, you did. And it's true, they don't, which is why I was so taken aback with, and slightly annoyed by (and it is slightly, not majorly) the 10 day deadline to get this now suddenly, urgent and mandatory upgrade done. Like I said, if I had been asked to get it done sooner, it would have been...

Well, that's what you get for thinking with partial information used to reach a conclusion. Here's the scenario: I post something at 16:00:00. It's there for all the world to see. At 16:00:05 someone refreshes the forums and reads what I just posted. They click "Reply With Quote" at 16:00:30...

I'm a slow typer. Sorry. Sheesh! I also had unexpected company in the middle of typing the reply, so I walked away from the keyboard for more than an hour. We visited, and also had something to eat. You wanna know what I ate? I've told you exactly what happened, and what I did. I've also made...

Well that's good. Any herd that's not strong to begin with is gonna get hit harder. Unfortunately, there's no vaccine for this yet.

Professor makes students pledge Obama vote

Hadn't considered that, but you're right, if even a penny of her salary came from federal funds, she's in deep doo doo. Well, probably not with this administration. I don't know one way or the other, but can you imagine if this "pledge" was offered in exchange for extra credit or a higher...

    Staying warm this winter?

IIRC, it took them about 6 hours to install my Espar in the Sprinter, but that was Ray at Espar of Michigan and he does a lot of them, so a first time install would likely be 1-2 days. The difference in buying it outright and the install labor was $500, it might be $550 or $600 now, so those...

That's really the biggest problem with that disease (and bluetongue), that it generally kills a few more does and fawns that bucks, which is why when it's concentrated locally, especially in areas where it's not as common, it can take so long to recover.

"Sweet’s actions may have also violated Florida’s election laws." That was my very first thought.

Egypt orders arrest of US-based Copts over film

I'm not sure how the film makers have been discredited, since they did make the film. I'm also not sure how this is an insignificant YouTube clip. Seems pretty significant to me. YouTube has lots of clips, some insignificant, some significant.

The numbers probably are low. They real numbers tend to be about twice what gets counted, for obvious reasons. That's usually the case down south, where the disease is more common (bit death is more rare because more of them have the antibodies). Michigan probably sees a few dozens or a few...

My son and his new authority t/t

Other than bidding too low, the first thing he needs to learn is that with a wife at home, having his own authority is just an illusion.

I live 600 miles from Taylor, so I don't go there much on my own. I and others I know have gone periods of 3 months or more without having any loads that delivered in or near Michigan. I have mailed my paperwork into Admin more times than I've been there to drop it off. I know for fact that I'm...

It happens every year. It's worse with drought, but it's a common thing. 3000 sounds like a lot, and it is, but it's not much when you compare it to the healthy population of one million deer in Michigan. The midges (the flies, what I've heard them called as "no see-ums") will die off with the...

Correct. The updates were in testing phases for a few vehicles, then a few more, but no one said a word about them being mandatory until late last week. Mandatory physical upgrades need to have lead times of 60 or 90 days for an OTR fleet, not 3 weeks. Although, I have no doubt that dispatch...

    Will this help Romney?

People hear what they want to hear. People watch the video, hear the words, read the words, and what they hear is Romney doesn't care about the 47% of Americans who are poor, because they're poor. What he said was, as a candidate running for office trying to garner votes, he can't worry about...

It's a seat cushion. It is designed by pilots for pilots, actually. These things are very popular with pilots. Oshkosh Defense uses them in a wide range of military vehicles. A lot of aircraft, including military aircraft, are now being built with Oregon Aero seats, not cushions. The seat...
