    Idleaire in trouble

Not sure? My only pet peeve on the PNV was when it snowed, and try to get stuff plugged in. Oh yeah, and bent plug ins because the thing got ran over. Driving off in a hurry and loosing a few cords was another. Oh...the good ole days.:p

And I bet your going to want another 20 percent? Good grief, drivers can be so demanding.

    Idleaire in trouble

Without a doubt those things were contributors. I have to wonder if it could even be saved. A lot of issues and debt to overcome.

    FEDEX CC Recruiting unresponsive!

I would be alittle patient. It was only a week or so ago that they had their recruiters in Louisville for the truckshow as did other carriers. Probably taking them a while to catch up.

    Idleaire in trouble

I knew someone was going to post that. Another example of a poor return on their original investment (ROI). They will be ok though, as it "doesn't exist". Maybe just bad "luck"?......oops....that doesn't exist either.

    Fleet owner observation

It may be in the water? No one else had any problem figuring it out. Just you Phil. I do agree that it is a topic that has been explained to you by several members over numerous posts. No where else to go so mind as well move on to something else.

Sort of OT... Generator in a Sprinter

The one truckgen was doing was under the vehicle behind the rear wheels. It had a access door from inside for service. They actually had one several years ago at the expo when it was in Detroit.

    60/40?/fair?

That's true. That variance is tied to the fact they are employees in his case, rather than characteristics from a 60/40 plan. Most are using independent contractors rather than employees.

    15 days is to long.

You can now get 55 percent of the line haul at POD. Not perfect, but it is better than waiting the 30/60/90 days for payment. It helps the cash strapped that are doing brokered loads as well. There is that other option of a 7 day plan, but Panther charges I believe 3 percent for it.

    60/40?/fair?

Fuel would be considered a operating expense that would be written off. The same with your fuel tax. The 60/40 guy will pay alittle more in tax because he made more. Roughly 12k to 15k in additional net income depending on milage. Ones tax are based on the net, rather than the gross. It could...

    60/40?/fair?

Couple of issues. For just figures Say for illustration.....1.30 per mile and .45 FSC. We have had .70, 72, 62, 49, 38, for this week. 1.30 at 40 percent = .52 per mile Same scenario at 60/40 +FSC = .78 +.45FSC=1.23 On a 1000 mile run, one makes 520 The other on a 60/40 makes 1230 but...

    60/40?/fair?

Just from experience I get good drivers that refuse to go to work for owners that make them pay for the fuel. They also love the fact that they are not going to be upside down owing taxes at the end of the year. Two issues. The first with regards to a say a 40/60 would depend on the carrier...
