I own 2 03 freightliners Centuries with cummings 450ISX engines (old Interstate greenmachine tractors), 22 foot boxes. Both have been almost trouble free and they both get 10+ MPG. Your looking for a used truck, I strongly suggest you look at these workhorses.

If you haven't driven a FL Cascadia try one,your in for a big treat. Extremely quiet, cab space has to be the best on the market, with the front air ride it's like a caddy, and the aero design can't be beat. Downside is the sleeper is exactly the same as the 70 in. Century/Columbia.

My truck has a 08 engine with all the new emissions control on it. EPA is full of "something"; we make these changes to reduse pollution - and then the changes require us to use a lot more fuel, so we produce more pollution than before. And who benifits: oil companies because we use more fuel!
