    Which companies allow Super-B Vans..

I have seen both landstar and Panther running those types, and there are others I have seen. It would be a extra bonus if it is dock high. Alot of companies request a DH only truck for pickup & delivery

survive in a class c truck?

A-Team should have mentioned that he drives for FedEx. I would find the carrier that suits you prior to your truck purchase. Several carriers rates change when going from a D to a C. Sometimes as much as .10 cents a mile. With a team that may be a 10 to 15,000 dollar difference per year. Should...

    air compressor problem

sounds like a bad air regulator or bad brake chamber. That would explain the bang. I would have it checked out if you don't know what you are looking for on the brake chamber. They are not expensive and can be repaired quickly. With the bang, it doesn't sound like the hoses. You can always check...

I agree with the above. Air freight or courier service would seem like your best bet. Especially if part-time is desired

You will most likely experience less runs and shorter trips being a single driver. Keep in mind that some costs stay the same whether single or team. (QC, insurance, truck payment ect). That is why you need sufficent reserves in case of breakdowns or slow periods. Takes longer to recover these...

I would check some of the archives to find information on ASAP. I know very little about them other than seeing some of their vans up around the Detroit area. Teams will always do better than singles, so you have to decide for yourself if and how you would want to proceed. Keep in mind that you...

    LapTops

I would go with a Gateway or Dell. While Toshiba is so-so, they do have in store service if it is something small. In store service is at BestBuy. Not sure on Gateway now since stores closed. I think BB will work on a HP also, but not sure.

    FedEx Custom Critical

Your advise should be well taken. With any company, one should be prepared for a large financial and time commitment. Anything much less than that will kill your ability to have much success, unless you have alot of resources or have been out here for a considerable amount of time.

    Beginner Questions

Rich is correct on TriState at the time they were doing .65 percent of the load. Since they changed to a milage based program, I would think you would know now. It was good that they changed it because when we were there they had some instances that .65 was not paid. They were not aware that the...

    Truck Spec opinions

If your front end is 13,600 or higher, you are pushing your luck. Alot of states will give you some extra weight but I would be careful. Even with a reefer, generator, and full fuel tanks, you should be under that weight empty. What kind of motor do you have?

    Tri-State or Conway now

I simply tell it like it is. If statements are factual, I am not worried about a slander suit or anything else. Like you said, the truth will come out. However, sometimes when that truth is shown, it may be a little late for some folks. As you read alot of these posts you will quickly realize...
